They have a point though. I mean I just won a couple bids last week. They processed. They shipped. They arrived today and everything is present and appears in good shape. It's outrageous!

I don't order from here much, if at all, anymore.

But they have a point. Covid or not, CBid has to do better than 1 hour hold times, not answering e-mails or messages and not telling people when sh*t is on backorder.

But the "we don't care" part... totally true.

I am SO out of practice with bidding.
I put a bid in on what I THOUGHT was a 5 pack, when in reality it was a "single". d'oh!

and therein lies John's problem. The Philadelphia public school system doesn't really inspire. John's gotten by on his looks all his life.

You tried to raise ‘em right and give ‘em all the advantages of a privileged childhood. You did the best you could for ‘em. You really did Papa. That’s quite apparent. As are you.
And now the only time they reach out is when they need something.
Heartbreaking...

Perhaps they can’t fill orders as quickly due to them having to take calls from people asking about their orders.

Advice to newbies with ordering issues.
-Yours is a 1st world problem. Your hand rolled premium cigars aren’t getting there fast enough.
-35+ million people have lost their jobs. Presuming you still have yours, consider yourself blessed. If you lost your job, maybe there are other areas you can put your money toward. Food, rent, Midol, etc.
-Your parents lied to you. You aren’t special. Worse things are happening to better people.

Have the day of you choice.

A few things to know.
#1. Don’t bother calling customer service until you are 8 business days after it ships. Nothing they can do for you till then. It isn’t considered lost until 8 business days have passed.
#2.If your order consists of any cigarillos, it doesn’t ship regular UPS to USPS. It ships UPS mail innovations to USPS. Nothing but problems with mail innovations.
# 3. Cbid is taking 3 times the orders and customer service calls as a topical Christmas time. The same amount of staffing, no increase.
#4. Cbid is currently shipping 20,000 orders per day.
They are swamped. Be patient. Wait out the 8 business days before you start your inquiries. They are just as frustrated and overwhelmed as you are.

I got through to customer service! I was educated and enlightened! I’ve come to the realization it’s not either or. It’s somewhere in between. Not afraid to admit when I’m half wrong!

Seems like there are less of these noop complaints in the last few days. Did the company finally notice there were some problems.

Ah, finally someone worth listening to! Glad to see the issues are just due to a glut of orders and not something more serious.

The rest of you bellyaching about people coming here for answers are crying in the rain.

Sorry, there's no excuse for lousy service. If business is that good, hire more people to handle it. There are plenty of people in need of employment. My problem became apparent as soon as they emailed me my invoice for a rather large purchase. Why should I have to wait 8+ days to contact them (see #1 above). Besides, are my wait times on hold with customer service going to be any different eight days from now?

Again they seem to be playing games with shipping charges. This isn't the first time. (For those interested, do a search for "When a 5-pack isn't a 5-pack") As long as Cbid has a credit card on file and customer service won't pick up, they are running the perfect scam. Now I can sit back and wait for all the brown-nosers here to chime in and defend these questionable business practices.
