There owned by Scandinavian Tobacco Group, like cbid and the mothership. But I was meaning tc stands for terms and conditions, which apparently, I am still having trouble with.

If you were to reverse engineer your deal, I’d say you made a pretty dang good purchase. CBid would’ve charged you almost $10 just for shipping alone so getting 10 cigars plus a lighter and travel case for $17 is borderline outstanding imo. And the OMBIIIs are a very good smoke with about a year of nap time.

Been reading about the omb3, but haven't tried them yet. I suppose I will be patient and wait to try one around next spring.

Good cigar (MB3) but I'm not going for it- tho if the Jetline quad had a built in punch I would jump at it.

Like many of us, I’mma sure you have multiple lighters, cutters and other cigar accessories so getting another lighter (...without a punch...) wouldn’t necessarily float your boat. Nor another travel case. But for a new guy, yah, I can see jumping on the deal.

Ya, I have no case, so I went for it when I got the shipping out of the way.

Ordered mine with no problem, once our generous OP'er sent me the ad. I have been wanting a 10-count travel case as all I have are the smaller ones and I can always use another lighter, plus I like all of those cigars.

win, win, win...

I was tempted, but I don't need another 10 count travel case, another lighter or more cigars...but that IS a sweet deal...

Glad you got one ordered. I put it up on slickdeals late last night; it's got a few thumbs up!

Received order today and it is as pictured not as described. 4 Serie 'G' (2 Maduro) and 2 Serie 'O'. Received a ripple triple lighter instead of Jetline Quad. Email sent, but not expecting anything. Still a good deal

Ya, so I'm not totally disappointed, but I figured reading got me this far. Guess it's back to looking at pictures.

Actually, you could make a stink since, in the past, CS has said it's the "description" you bid on, not the "picture". I don't know if it's gonna be worth your time and effort but if you feel you've been duped, then you should pursue it.

Unless, of course, there's a disclaimer that says you may get the "picture" instead of the "description". Brick wall

Kinda +1

I have a Jetline Triple that I use regularly and it has basically been issue free vs. the fancy (...and much more expen$ive...) Xikar Turrim Double. The Xikar worked fine for a few months but then stopped firing up despite completely emptying, refilling and bleeding. Since the ownership change and return policy revision, gonna wait until another Xikar fails before sending it back.

Even more convinced passing was a good idea My old Jetline quad torch is now only soft flame, but the punch still works and I still have never been able to light a cigar with the Xicar I bought new several years ago I'm currently mostly using single torch Chinese lighters which seem to be holding up well and use a lot less fuel.

I also did not get the cigars described. Good cigars mind you but not what was promised.

Also, if you look close, the triple-flame lighter is NOT a Jetline, it says "Jettorch." It does feel pretty substantial however and working well so far.

The cigar case is as I expected it, not super rugged but it is what i needed.

With free shipping and a discount code stacked on top of the original offer, it was still a good deal, but NOT as promised so I shall complain!

I ordered this as well. Scheduled to be delivered today. I actually do need a case this size. I have a 5er and a big 40 (I think) but need something to get me through a weekend trip.

As for the sticks, I have found that if you leave the Os and Gs in the humidor for a good long time, they are actually decent smokes to my pallet. Will definitely smoke the MB3s though. Have a pretty good supply of those built up already.

I've got torches all over the damned place. Don't think I have ever paid for one.

Transcript of chat:
Dennis - Thank you. May I know how we can help?

Sam - I received my order, but I am confused because it is not as stated.
I received a Ripple Triple Torch instead of a Jetline Quad Torch Lighter.
I received 2 x Oliva Serie 'O', 2 x Oliva Serie 'G', and 2 x Oliva Serie 'G' Maduro
That was not what was listed on the description

Dennis - We apologize for any confusion. Let me check. One moment please.

Sam - ok, thanks

Dennis - You're welcome.
Thank you for waiting. To confirm, you only received 6 cigars? Did you also receive the travel case?

Sam - I received the Master blend 3s and the Connecticuts and the case. no issues with those
This is what was listed in the description:
The Oliva Robusto 10-Cigar Combo Sampler Includes:
1 x Jetline Quad Torch Lighter
1 x Oliva 10-Count Travel Case
2 x Oliva Serie 'G' Toro (6" x 50)
2 x Oliva Master Blends III Robusto (5" x 50)
2 x Oliva Serie 'O' Robusto (5" x 50)
2 x Oliva Serie 'O' Robusto Maduro (5" x 50)
2 x Oliva Connecticut Reserve Robusto (5" x 50)

Dennis - Yes, that is correct. For the lighter, we will go ahead update the website as I see we sent the Ripple Torch. Let me see what we can do with the cigars.
Thank you for waiting. I tried to check if we have any single sticks that we can send for the Connecticut Reserve and the other Olive Serie G, however, we don't have any. Is it okay if we offer you a $10 off coupon instead that you can use on a future ordeR?

Sam - Ya, I suppose. I think that should work. I think that the Serie O and Serie G are mixed up on the site.

Dennis - We will look into it and we appreciate your patience. Your promo code for it is *********. Please allow us 24 hours to activate it and it expires in a year. Was there anything else that I can assist you with?

Sam - Nope that should do it. Thank you for your help

Dennis - You're welcome. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Thanks for chatting with us and have a great day!

Well, I did complain in the chat on the site. The guy offered to either to send my a shipping label and take the whole order back and issue a refund or let me keep them and give me a $15 coupon good for 1 year.

I took the coupon....

YMMV

Okay, so....

1. Several years ago, you buy a Xikar lighter.
2. It doesn't work.
3. You can get a free replacement via their lifetime warranty
4. You inexplicably choose not to.
5. You needlessly live with a broken lighter for several years.
6. You complain about it on a forum.

Seems reasonable, yep!

Haha, I'm just giving you a hard time Tony, I like ya man, but seriously, REPLACE IT FOR FREE! If THAT one breaks someday, DO IT AGAIN! Repeat forever!

I have a lot of Xikar items. It's fairly rare, but as the years ago on, they have problems. Whenever that happens, I turn them into brand new ones, for free... whenever needed, forever. It's awesome. The replacements have any design upgrades they've implemented since you got your last one, and if yours is out of production they'll send you a similarly-styled new, current-production model. So your lifetime replacements essentially mean lifetime design and technology upgrades too!

It's awesome. Make use of it!

It a CI smiley face and I don't have the time to mess with it. Besides which I have plenty of other lighters that I actually like.

To the best of my knowledge, items are covered under the lifetime warranty regardless of logos and art appearing on them as long as they are "real" Xikar models, meaning:

1. They have the word "XIKAR" somewhere on the item's body, and...

2. At some point the model appeared on the actual xikar.com website.

If 1 and 2 are true, then the art or brand names printed on the item (Ave Maria, Diesel, CI smiley logo, etc.) don't matter, it's covered.

What's not covered are things like some of what CI often describes in ad copy as "by Xikar" items that fail #1 and #2 because they do not match any known actual Xikar model that has appeared on xikar.com and they do not have "XIKAR" appearing on the item itself, such as the "X4 by Xikar" cutter and certain (but not all) single-jet lighters branded with cigar brand names (e.g. Diesel and others).

However, other branded items such as the brown-and-tan, Diesel-branded Turrim double-jet lighter, the Ave Maria-branded Forte lighter and the various branded Xi1 and Xi2 cutters (typically with some cigar brand's art), etc. are covered, because #1 and #2 are both true. Turrim, Forte, Xi1 and Xi2 are all "real" Xikar models that have appeared on xikar.com, and they all have "XIKAR" appearing on the item itself.

If what you have is a smiley-branded, say, Executive II, this should be covered (is a "real" model, has appeared on xikar.com, does have "XIKAR" appearing on the item itself).

I hope this helps some folks. As far as I know, this info is correct.

I got one of those zippo torch inserts for 13 bucks. 2 yr warranty and it fits my 30 year old zippo lighter that has a lifetime warranty. Already sent it in once when the hinge broke, they fixed it, cleaned it up and sent me a new extra insert for free.

Zippo is the only other lighter company I'm aware of with a warranty as good as Xikar's, basically covering everything except loss or theft forever, no exceptions, no proof-of-purchase or other paperwork needed. If you have the item in your possession, that's all that's required and both companies will fix or replace it free, anytime and forever.

It's a beautiful thing.

Xicar replaced and upgraded one of these for me last year. Had it for years. Dropped the damned thing in a glass of Sambuca. Tried to clean it up but couldn't get to work. Sent it to them and got a brand new model that sells for $50 everywhere. Still have it laying there in the box for the day that I can't find one of my 30 other lighters.

Did you finish the Sambuca once you fished out the lighter?
