I finally figured it out. Trumps base isn't really a political base at all. They are a cultists who are brainwashed. Logic and critical thought are meaningless to them. They will not hold meaningful dialogue with others because all others are outsiders.

Gotta throw a bs flag. I find it impossible to believe they have meaningful dialog with each other either.

curious to see how many will continue to identify with him once his position in history is written a few years or so from now

Amnesia will hit hard. It did about the stupid crap folks got mad about Obama doing and Trump does more of. Even simple stuff like golf.

Because you say so? It ain't Trump voters trying to 'cancel' anyone who disagrees with them.

Might want to look in a mirror.

LOL!
The left wrote the "history" before he began his term.
Now they're just trying to make it fit.

This is pretty close to the truth.
I didn't care about Obama's golf so much. But it seems to me that executive orders were more significant (in impact at least. I don't know the numbers) with him than with prior presidents. And Trump is pulling that card with even more gusto.
Even when I agree with an EO, I know it sets a bad precedent. It just feels counter to how our system is supposed to work.

I look in a mirror every night Sparky. I'm just done trying to be nice to people like you. Actually it isn't even personal. I'm just going to call Trump supporters what they are. And laugh at their antics. I think at the end of my life God will judge me based on my actions. That's good enough for me.

Pretty sure he was speaking to me. I contemplated an unfriendly response, but there's really nothing to be gained.

Good evening, Frank.

Is this another one of those posts claiming that one side is open minded and trying to work with the other?

Some nice leadership on that side of the aisle... doesn't much look like she's striving to keep an open dialogue.

I am not talking about either side Bucky. I am talking about Trumps constituency. They are not the whole of the Republican party. If Sanders had became President I imagine I would think the same. His constituency is a cult also IMO. Nore are they the whole of the Democratic party.

hey... like I said, I don't usually think focusing on spelling is important.

But you gotta admit, the one time you really should have had your spelling correct is when you call others pseudo intellectuals.

Actually, the spelling was correct, I did not use the correct term.

Sudo is a programing language, sort of like Unix. I used it in a data, files and structures class, not to actually run the code, but to understand how computers work at a very granular level, e.g., how sorts are done and files manipulated.

Come on gene. I really don't think busting someone's balls over spelling is important, but don't try to sell me that load. I know nothing about a programming language Sudo (I'll believe you that it is whatever you say it is).... but you did not intend to say "programming language intellectuals".

Using a homophone is a misspelling.

It's not a big deal, it was amusing due to the context of the post. Suck it up and get back to whatever your point was about how you're sure non-trump voters are super stupid or something.

sudo = SuperUser Do.

It's a command used in Unix/Linux platforms (including Mac OSX). It's a command you need to use in order to access and manipulate files and code within the operating system that other users don't have privileges to alter. In MS Windows it's similar to running changes as the Administrator (admin).

Confederate heroes are enemy combatants that fought against the U.S. Sure they are part of history, but since when do we sanction statues of the enemy war leaders? They belong in civil war museum.

Russia had a cool museum in Moscow for the 2nd world war. It was a huge plexiglass container (like 10'x10'x10') full of nazi medals or insignia taken off nazi soldiers. Basically a huge pile of "look at all the nazis we killed".

We should have done something like that with confederate soldiers.

Wrong, and FWIW, spell check underlined the word, but it a word as described above.

Here, I'll even Google it for you. http://www.letmegooglethat.com/?q=sudo

dude. You didn't mean to say "sudo intellectual". you meant to say "pseudo intellectual". Whether sudo is a word or not is irrelevant. You misspelled pseudo. It's fine. You can live and learn. I don't understand why you're so damn determined to claim you didn't misspell it because you spelled a different, unrelated world.

The cult of Trump is taught to be like him. He never admits mistakes. He will battle 24/7 over any mistake he makes. That includes little ones. Everyone eventually gives up, not because he was correct, but because it isn't worth the effort.
