Yep. He didn't make his point in a way that YOU liked. YOU thought it could have been more succinct. Stream lined. Bare Bones..... or another way to say it would be... Stripped of nuance, complexity, and subtlety. But, who ever needs those? Not YOU so why would anyone else? Silly rabbit, bothering with all that thinking when we can strip everything down to a few pithy sayings and a cheeky grin. When we add to the mix the fact that you pointed it out, not to make your point but, just to point it out... Well, we pop that in the oven at 350 for 45 minutes and DING! Your ego is ready.

It's quite obvious life is very difficult and complicated for you.My condolences

I find it funny that a lot of the same people who don't want all cops painted with a broad brush are quite willing to paint BLM with that same brush.

Although the Police aren't perfect they have a process pre-admission to their training program followed by months of training followed by more field training and evaluations submitted by experienced officers.During all this candidates are dropped due to psychological, physical and other reasons. Most of the graduates strive to be better servants of their entire community however out of roughly 800,000 a few less than desirables slip through the cracks. We're human.....it happens unfortunately.

I believe in "Backing the Blue" but there is a line once crossed there is no return..........and that is any criminal activity and that includes how you treat people of colors other than your own.

BD could you inform me of the screening/training process of BLM.What measures are taken to keep street thugs out? When and if violence erupts what is protocol? Some decide it's time to go looting......do they police their own from within or do they turn a blind eye?

I have zero problem with peaceful protest......ZERO!!!The problem is there has been so much violence associated with these protest it's been extremely difficult for many to give any credibility to BLM and for good reason I might add.

So let me see if I got this right, here...

We're supposed to distinguish between the BLM protesters as a whole and the ones who do bad things, is that correct?

But BLM doesn't have to distinguish between the cops who do bad things and the 98.2% of them who don't?

Does that about sum it up?

Oh... and they DON'T have to "snitch" on the ones who do bad things... but the cops DO? Right?

Can you say hypocrisy? I knew ya could!!

Could not agree more. I have been yelling this at my TV during the news broadcasts for days. My wife thinks I need professional help.

apples to oranges...

police are paid agents of the government sworn to protect the Constitution on behalf of all American citizens and given the powers to arrest, including the power to take a life in some situations...they have a Constitutional duty to enforce the laws without discrimination

BLM is a loosely organized group of citizens who are exercising their rights granted to them by the Constitution to seek redress from a government that they perceive is unjust, demanding that the government's police forces treat all people equally

one is held to a much higher standard, because the government protects them when they make mistakes enforcing the law

The standard is the standard. Police are citizens of this country, just like everyone else. A representation of the population.

The data shows they do treat everyone equally. But some people prefer to focus on a few encounters out of very, very many.

The government protects them? Might want to speak with those who have lost their jobs... been arrested, charged, tried and convicted of crimes. Mistakes are one thing. Crimes are another. Cops let people off when they make mistakes. Not so much when it's a serious crime. Same thing happens to cops. They make mistakes, they get punished internally. They commit crimes, they get fired and prosecuted. It happens.

You know what? Criminals only have one thing in common. They are criminals. Cops need to be held to a higher standard? No, hell no. Good people have only one thing in common. They are good people. BLM members aren't good people? No, hell no. You can be absolute opposites and still both be good people. MACS and I as different as different can be. Yet I know MACS is good people. Lots of anger going on in our world. But it really is that simple.
