What does it mean to you?
Give examples of who is currently being or should be "canceled".
Who is in the process of being or needs to be "cancelled"?
Is it really a pejorative term?

Nobody should be “cancelled”.

Cancel culture is a natural progression of poorly educated, emotional adolescents who have been fostered by a particular group.

Seems rather childish to me but you (the greater you not the specific you) do what you want. I have free will to form my own opinion and I don't really care if you agree or disagree with mine nor should I care if I agree or disagree with yours.

Either way both sides should be man enough to accept the fallout or consequences from expressing that opinion. However, everyone is free to change their opinion based on further reflection as a result of additional input or a different perspective.

(how's that for covering all my bases)

discussed this in a recent thread which, I will admit, was a veiled attempt to cancel Victor... I just never got around to pouring myself into it...

I'd appreciate it if in the future you would address the specific me.
I reserve the greater me for public appearances...

Dude, sorry to inform you (the specific you) but you've been canceled from public appearances. You'd know this if you (the specific you) weren't canceled but you (the specific you) are so your above post doesn't even exist.

Anyway, I'm not sure there's anything the Goya guy could do to make me stop buying their brand of garbanzos.

He can have the post, I'm not looking for penetration. I'll sit on the rail.

it's a pejorative term the status quo majority in power uses to describe efforts by a minority group that is destroying, confronting, and pushing back against the oppressive symbols that represents the supremacy of the majority in the past and in current practice. The term seeks to marginalize the minorities' objective for a more open and honest description of history that exposes the intentional maltreatment of minorities by the majority that is currently being concealed or minimized by the existing narratives of history.

It's fkn STUPID. Someone disagrees with you, or holds a different view, so they should be vilified, fired, arrested, tortured... whatever... all because they disagree or said something that "triggered" you.

Soooooooo fkn stupid.

This.

Cancel culture never tried to CHANGE anything. Just silence whomever doesn't fit their narrative. It's all based on over emotional group think. I consider myself a liberal. Today's liberals would call me conservative or even right wing. They're wrong but, that's their fault. They should try cracking open a few books instead of some poor slobs store.

Most of the time you breath until you die. In your opinion was it necessary to keep restraining him as they did instead of just cuffing him once he was under control with four police officers on the scene?

It must be a downer of a life if everything, every topic comes back to the same recycled rhetoric. After a while it just gets tuned out as white noise.

I understand. Being dead and all it's kinda hard to do anything as well as you'd like to. We'll.. except for doing that disembodied spirit thing to spook people. That's gotta be one benefit of being dead.

We teach our kids our values, and everyday we have them repeat the Pledge of Allegiance: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

so tell me.... why should Americans who don't get the same liberty and justice for all as other Americans keep quiet?

In the water industry we use master pumps which control slave pumps.I'm expecting the next round of test rewrites we will have all new terminology for these devices.

If you 'cancel' someone because of a real/perceived mistake (especially an old one), what you are saying is that people cannot change. So if people cannot change, there's no point for you to try to change the hearts and minds of people who disagree with you. So if THAT'S the case, then all your rhetoric/protesting is just whining, self-congratulatory preaching to the choir. SJW circle jerk.

Another thing, though, is that right wingers don't really have the moral high ground to denounce cancel culture. They've had concerts canceled, books removed from libraries, evolution taken out of school curricula, etc. Remember all the righties saying they were boycotting the NFL and Nike because a guy engaged in a silent, non-violent protest? People on both sides of the political spectrum are guilty of this bullsh*t.

Ford is now being pressured to quit making police vehicles now.

BD1 remind me who again led the charge for parental advisory lyric stickers? And “righties” weren’t boycotting the NFL and certainly not for you given reasoning. Maybe you know more idiots than I do.

Yes, I remember Tipper and the PMRC. The point that I was making is that liberals don't have a monopoly on cancel culture.

Not perjoritve if you're a Marxist.
Marxist tactics by Marxist followers in the pursuit of a Marxist revolution under the guise of anti-racism by a bunch of racists.
Example of who should be cancelled= "Kill whitey" whoever that applies to - cancel.
Whatever ideology stands in the way of Marxism- cancel.
Also see: Former USSR, Venezuela, China, North Korea etc.for examples of what's next.
Lenin's statue in San Fran is an example what's not cancelled

This makes no sense. Yanking down monuments has absolutely no affect on historical narratives or facts.
