Ignore... I completely misread your post and I thought you were talking about a different coffee (the one in the gold can... can't remember the name right now)

That's what I was doing with the bags. Threw them in and about 20hrs at room temp, then just left the bag in and put the pitcher in the fridge. It would get drank over about 5 days, so it would get stronger each time.

Would it get bitter towards the end or no? I haven't had a lot of it, but what I've noticed with the cold brew I've made, it doesn't get bitter but it does get pretty acidic feeling on the stomach...

Not sure they're still around but at one point there was a coffee shop in Australia that made a wicked cup of heart attack juice.... according to them the best caffeine extraction came from brewing coffee as close to freezing temperature as possible without freezing the coffee...

Iirc they would make ice cubes out of espresso, then fill a barrel with water, coffee grounds, and the espresso cubes, then put it for 2 weeks in a fridge set to 33 degrees...

You had to sign a waiver before you ordered one...

Intriguing. No, haven't noticed any bitterness at the end.
There's a local place that does iced coffee with coffee ice cubes. Love them.

Don't know how I can cool the extraction process better. I suppose if I added vodka to the water I could extract at -4C.

It does come in a yellow and red can. Made a full pot, drank half of it, spent the rest of the morning on my can. Don’t think Cuban style coffee isn’t designed to Be drank by the pot.

Willing to try the by the cup instant version, chilled.

Oh yeah... bustelo is what I was thinking of. That's not an instant espresso though. Or at least the ones I've run across as a child weren't. My mom used that coffee in her old espresso steam percolator.

I like Bustelo. Been on a Deathwish coffee kick lately. Thought it would just be a gimmick coffee for the high caffeine, but is pretty smooth overall

Beautiful 62° day for a hike in the mountains. We went 3.5 miles up to a crest and I am pretty sure the 3.5 miles down we’re also up hill.

Sitting on the front porch with a cigar pondering how that happens.

Wife and I just finished our 1 hour 20 minute walk around the neighborhood. Some uphill, some downhill, some dirt paths and some sidewalks.

I've been doing 20 minute walks first thing in the morning for the past week... it's helping my back tremendously.... once it's not 100 degrees here all day every day I'm gonna shoot for 2 or 3 walks a day...

Opie, it sounds weird but chronic back problems are what started my distance running many moons ago. Both walking and running have helped me keep fit and have been good for my back condition.

My back doctor just shakes his head and says he would never have recommended it but, in my case it works.

My sciatic nerve gets absolutely crushed by the tensed up muscles around it nearly every morning... if I sit and read, my day is over... if i get out of bed and start walking immediately I seem to do ok...

staying active in general and not sitting seems to be key... never had a problem with that pre-covid times...

Stretching might help, too. I had lower back tightness back when I was in the Navy, but that was because I exercised once every 6 months when they made me do it for the physical readiness test... and only stretched the day I ran it.

Hamstrings were tighter than a snare drum. Worked with a chiropractor who recommended stretches that seem to have worked for me. Stretch out the hamstrings and glutes and see if that helps.

So working on my fun little project and ran into an issue. I get a display message stating that the battery has less than a 10% charge on it. I thought that was odd, there is no battery, it's plugged into a wall. Emailed the manufacturer and they haven't came across this issue before. Ugh. Waiting to hear back what they say after I sent them all what I did to see if they can recreate it. Otherwise everything else works with it, just get a display message Everytime.

Good Evening folks.

My wife's, son's and my Covid tests came back negative. Now to figure out why my wife has been running a 101° temperature for the last 17 days. The clinic she works at called her back in for a 2nd Covid test, blood work and urine analysis. Another week my wife will be out of work while we have to wait for Covid test results. She has to have a normal temp for three consecutive days before she can see patients.

Since I am cleared to fly, I will be returning back to Pittsburgh, PA and driving to Indiana, PA to help my aunt settle my uncle's affairs. It's not a trip I am looking forward to at all.

I ran over my in-laws mailbox today. Just got home from fixing it.

I can not back up my flatbed trailer on my blind side to save my life. I lined up, got out and checked, inched back, got out and checked, and when i was sure I was good I heard a snap and saw the mailbox go down. Fuggit, its broke, imma just finish backing in.

Their road is single lane and a dead end, driveway narrow, and steep ditch on the far side so gotta be mindful of nose swing.

Went back with the trailer for the second load (moving brother and sister in law - their garage stuff got moved to wife's parents house a couple weeks ago) and pulled in, backed out on visible side, then backed in visible and all was good. I can do the camper blindside not well, but better than flatbed cause I can at least see the walls in my mirrors. Flatbed completely disappears.

Not a flight I am looking forward to for many reasons. But my aunt and nieces are counting on my return and help. I can't say no.

might be more trouble than they'll help, but you could try to rig up a couple temporary flag poles for the flatbed's rear corners...couple tall traffic cones would work...

Two cigars, a double bourbon, then 3.5 mile walk in 81 degrees.

I think that is a cry for help. Or, a Wisconsin Workout (if cheese curds were added).

Left work early and scooted down to Grandma's house. She's doing well for what ails her. Very good to see her. Got her mower carb cleaner and running. Took me twice though. Time for some frozen pizza and beer.

I told brother in law who was in my passenger seat for the second trip that I needed dune flags on my corners.

I'm well practiced with the camper, but the flatbed on blind side is completely blind. I can pull it off if I didn't have a toolbox in the bed obstructing the rear window. Without it I can see the tip of the trailer.

A backup camera could help too

Safe travels Carl.

We’re in the midst of Hurricane Watch. Douglas is currently 860 miles away from the Big Island with winds at 116 mph. Oahu ETA is early Monday morning. We’re well stocked with canned foods, bottled water, fresh batteries, paper products, Spam and rice (...threw the last 2 as jokes...). Gonna fill up coolers and jugs with fresh water on Sunday.

Just keep plowing over the mailbox until they relocate it or stop asking you to help them move.
