Wife keeps getting mad at me cause she keeps getting stung by wasps when she goes outside. Says it happens immediately upon stepping out the back door. 5 stings to her left leg now. Right hinged door, left foot out and stung. Dunno if she looks through the full glass door before opening or not. I suspect not.

I've never seen a wasp back there. Ever. I slid around under the deck on my back. Its only about 12" off the ground, cant really fit under there. Didnt see a nest. She can't tell me where they come from or where they go, only that she sees them every day, and keeps getting stung.

Wrapped the whole deck in tarps and taped up the edges. Weighed down the bottoms with logs. Slid a pair of bug bombs taped to a long piece of angle iron under there. Dunno if it'll do anything since I can't find a nest under there.

Might be in the soffits? But again, ive never seen a wasp. Without watching them, theres no way to find a nest. She says the dogs know about em too. But still can't tell me where they are. Figure if all the stings are on her lower leg, they're coming from underneath.

Theres a wasp nest behind my truck bedliner on the drivers side, but I pulled it back and sprayed it about a month ago but didn't scrape it off, cant quite reach it unless I take the toolbox out and remove the whole bedliner. Still see em trying to go in occasionally, so there is a colony nearby.

Well see if the tarped up deck and bug bomb works. Its not for wasps, but i figure insecticide of any sort should work maybe? I just don't know where they are.

I'm starting a fight against the ground digger wasps again. Chewed through the sealant I put in the cracks of the driveway and set up shop. For those who wish to tell me they're not aggressive unless provoked, they apparently feel pretty provoked when you drive over their home every day

Mornin' dudes.

Stinging/biting insects are a giant pain in the arse. Even if that's not where they sting you...

I take sick pleasure in finding those nests.

I was stung 20+ times from an underground nest when I was working on a farm. Since then I've had worse and worse reactions to each sting I get. Eventually it's gonna be full anaphylaxis. It's personal.

Last one I found I sprayed with wasp spray. Didn't seem to phase em. So I doused the hive with two full cans and covered it with a piece of sheet metal for a few days. Took the cover off and they came swarming. Managed to get away with one sting. Waited for nightfall when they're inactive. Soaked it in kerosene, added a little gasoline and tossed a match and watched the fuggers burn alive. Or I guess watch em burn dead. Frying pan

Too late... just finished a 1 hour 15 minute walk around the hood. Almost time for a beer and a smoke. Got a case of Ayinger Oktoberfest-Marzen. Filled the beer fridge with it...

We have mud dabber wasps that don't sting- black and red types but the papernest wasps-black and yellow are nasty and aggressive. Had an epic battle last year, this year went out early in the season to catch the first nest, had no problems since. They fly right by the wife and nail me -usually on the face. Nasty little fuggers.

This is key, less than 5-10 in a nest is much easier to get rid of. They get smart and find a 'better' place to nest.

Got 2 cans of of spray coming this evening. Got 2 nests with 25-30 each. I would usually knock off the nest with a stick and stomp on it. Not gonna try that with so many of them.

Took out 3 smaller nests in my truck body 2 weeks ago. Those were easy.

You could get the same by visiting my parents. Could save you some driving time, they are just on the other side of the river from you in DePere.
