Risky business. Morning deposit needs to happen or I might need the neighbors bushes in an emergency.

made some 2lb stuffed bacon cheddar burgers on the bbq last night... I owed my brother after he ran my cigar errands for me, so I took a couple up to him... my family of four split a single one... and both dogs got a healthy bite of leftovers as well... so I figured 2 burgers for his family of six should be plenty...

got a text from him around 10 oclock last night saying "I regret eating a whole one"...

Got the deposit in before we left but the coffee hit about an hour later.

Almost used a stump, but we were on our way back up out of the canyon so I managed to get to an outhouse. Not much better than a stump tho... no TP had to use my bandana.

4 miles fairly rugged and decent elevation change. Humidity so high sweating does nothing. Puppy dogs loved it even though I had to carry them through some of the boulders. They got to swim in the creek when we were finished

Agreed... however, military service trained my guts as well. In most cases I can wait. In the event that I can't wait, it won't be the first time I deposited in the bushes. Anxious

That thought crossed my mind before I decided to walk. I assessed the urge to purge and it just wasn't there yet.

And this goes on the list of things I don't want to know.

Its one reason I carry a rag/bandana on hiking trips. Gotta go in prepared.

Id use my socks but I usually hike in sandals here. Lots of places you gotta walk through 6-12 inches of water, or up a path with flowing water coming downhill etc.

Dark clouds passed, only a drizzle. Sky clear blue.

Lit my cigar and 10 minutes later sky dark and hear some distant thunder. So far a drizzle but its barely coming through the trees to my hammock.

Wife made margaritas.

Room 101 HN. Good mild cigar.

Sky's turning blue again.

Skipping lunch, still uncomfortably full from breakfast. Was gonna grill some chicken and chop some lettuce for salads but that can be dinner.

Fair warning - CB has had a deluge of requests so as mentioned above, it may take a little while before he gets to you. Additionally, as seen in his outburst, tread lightly on demands or requests for a quick resolution...he’s a bit sensitive right now. Gonz

It is slightly amazing how long this has gone on.

I believe this post on May 9 may have been the genesis of it all:

Prior to that someone used to throw Jade under the bus occasionally with similar phrasing. That had been a thing for a few years, but didn't seem to get the traction from the other asshats.

This seemed to be a much better target. Or more ruthless instigators

Dan, I live nearby a camping site (Lone Oaks) and stopped to talk to a lady that works there on my way home from the dump today. She says they are at capacity, even though they had a lot of cancellations due to Covid quarantine regulations for some out of state guests. They have several shower areas and the largest is open. Got quite a downpour yesterday afternoon here. They are located on a mountain and many years ago some relatives of my ex-wife's stayed there. They were lucky enough to get a severe thunderstorm that kept them shaking a lot of the night.

Showers have signs saying they're closed.

I ignored the signs. Group shower on east loop had no hot water. Drove over to the west loop and the single bay showers with closed signs had hot water.

Feel much better after my forbidden shower.

And yeah, with campgrounds really being the safest bet for vacation right now, they're all packed. Had our summer's reservations in but everything was cancelled in march and I didn't rebook anything. Wife was pushing to go again so I looked and there were very few (usable) sites open for us. I didn't really want to go but I'm glad we did. Feeling a little normalcy since we normally spend all my days off camping as a family or me on the road doing racecar things.

Just replaced my garbage disposal for the 3rd time. I've been in the house for 20 years and they seem to all die at the 5 year mark. First time I replaced it I didn't change the hardware. 2nd time I did, because I replaced the porcelain sink with stainless. This time I saw no reason to replace it... still in good shape, so it took me 15 minutes... only because I didn't notice the new one did not have a power cord.

Harvested the old power cord, rewired the new one with it... works like a charm.

I feel like Danm right now. Think

Restaurant I used to live by had 1lb "dream burger" it was a 1lb patty on a French loaf with all the fixins and served on a giant ham platter with fries.

Make it a double and eat it and fries in 30 minutes and its free and picture on the wall maybe a tshirt? I dont recall exactly.

I tried the single for $13 before betting on the double for $40. I could do it in 30, but the fries were difficult.

Gimme enough time and I could do it but that thing is a monster.

3 years... Insinkerator 5XL 1/2 HP. It outlasts the warranty by 2 years, bruh! I think the problem might be that we don't use it enough.

Our garbage disposal was newish when we moved in 8 or 9 years ago... still runs like a champ...

Second round on stuffed bacon cheddar burgers.... this one was probably closer to the 1.5lb mark.... bought a bag of frozen Arby's curly fries and the wife deep fried em... they're literally the exact fries you get from Arby's but a big bag for a few bucks...

Getting fatter again....
