So, irrelevant to everything else. I've got a fun HR story.
As background, the woman is not a huge fan of the HR dept at her work. They have "rewiring" projects every couple years where they lay people off and shuffle departments around, then immediately after, have to fix the issues caused by the "rewiring" by recreating the same departments they got rid of.
Anyway, for the summer she was given an intern that was supposed to do some project, we'll call her "Tina". This intern is hired on by the HR department as their attempt to bring in Jrs from college, and then hopefully, if they're any good, hire them easily when they graduate. The woman was not impressed with her intern this summer. Apparently she simply did not do any of her assigned project, some days she didn't even log-on until noon. She would make excuses, saying it was tech issues. So the woman did NOT recommend Tina to be hired next year, and told HR that.
Anyway, a week or so later, the woman is informed that HR will be submitting an offer to Tina for graduation. Apparently some guy in charge really liked her positivity. The woman was not thrilled, but wasn't too miffed, since she didn't anticipate having to work with her.
Fast forward another week. After HR sent Tina an offer, they were informed by Tina that she cannot work for them next year, as she will still be in school. Somehow HR managed to hire a Sophomore for an internship program intended to be exclusively for Juniors. Even more bizarre.... after finding this out, HR has now offered her another Internship.
