Work is still standing.......so I’m at work today helping our patients relocate and getting equipment here. Supply chain was already strained allegedly from COVID (I say alleged because were number 1 in the US and referrals are down 66% industry wide). It’s a mess, talked to a gal yesterday in Reno calling for her sister who refuses to evacuate.....tough times.

I have my basic needs covered. Prayers are appreciated because we’re not out of it.....those can see me on the MyBookface saw the map of Oregon. It’s no joke. Air quality is a secondary issue to life but it’s down to about 3!4 of a mile.

Wish Kevin was still with us to perform a Big Chief rain dance.

Much love y’all gotta go back to work.

FYI as a Platinum Member ™️ I wanna thank Shana for the box of Fuentes, CBid matches and the Prometheus Fuente lighter.....you guys rock

The last thing you need is matches.
Prayers sent.

Jesus, Z. I don't know what to say other than be as safe as you can and know that you have an entire community here that has your back. I would also be willing to bet that when you get your $hit back under control a bit, that you can probably expect the MOAB hit from the community here. I and we love you, Brother, and just say the word if you need anything.

Thanks I actually have almost all my cigars lost a 40 Ct travel humidor that had maybe 10 cigars in it.....my big humidor was still here at my moms (place I got after the divorce when my mom and step dad were in a bad spot). I was getting ready to buy again (house) and now that’s going to be real interesting with a low inventory now being even more “needed”. This is probably going to be a long process so trying not to get a rushed mindset.

Wow, that helo video was incredible to see. It's crazy how a row of ten houses gets wiped out but one house in the middle of the row is perfectly intact.

It's also nuts to see the slurry drops in residential areas.

Stay safe.

Housing market is high demand here too...but sure is better than your area. You could always put the Oregon trail into reverse and head East, ya know! Our governor is a damn sight better than yours, Broncos > Ducks, when our state is on Fire it almost never takes out structures (benefits of being sparsely populated!), our Costco has Jell-O shots...what’s not to love??? Won’t even take you long to pack - glass half full! I mean, we don’t usually care for “outsiders,” but exceptions can be made, and it’s not like you’re a Kookifornian or anything REALLY bad like that...

Take care and hang in there, my friend. Maybe there will be some kind of fire victim housing relief that can help you get into a new place - maybe there will be a nice big new housing boom with all of the seedier places gone (yes, along with everything else, but we’re staying positive here!) Maybe it’s a good time to invest in a construction company...

This isn’t the initial fire btw......

There were also reports of this again today.

Authorities are trying to keep people calm obviously which I think is good, I do NOT want vigilante justice. But there’s a point where they’re putting people at more risk.

🙏🏻 For calm heads to prevail I don’t have much ammo now.

^ saw that, didn’t know it was close to you. We’re getting ash rained upon us today winds finally died last night, we were supposed to get rain but didn’t but at least the wind is dead and temps dropped significantly. Most fires are 50-80% contained.

Whole lot of fake crap being posted on both “sides” most of the people arrested are both repeat offenders that received no tea previous punishment for even felonies and also drug/mental problems. Another side note at least 3 separate kidnapping groups (2-3 participants in each case involved) reported. I’m telling you something bad could happen, people have GD HAD IT.......

One of our new hires (2 are soon to start but as of yet haven’t) was targeted in a store then saw one of the people following them marking vehicles “M” “F” and “K” with numbers for counts. If you don’t realize that’s “M” for male, “F” for female and “K” for kid. One of the groups (one older white one younger Hispanic) were arrested the other two groups are still at large.

Saw a pt twice this weekend on call having issues she had the hotel move her upstairs because she was afraid of foot traffic at ground level. I’m packing with extras in my pocket, my EDC knife and an expandable baton.

National Guard hummers are posted at effected exits now so the looting has lessened and only happening in small areas which police are now patrolling all city police are taking turns patrolling Talent and Phoenix.

Spoke with a lady that lived near my dad and she said there is hazmat reported so now it’s going to be even longer before we get to see that damage.

4 more bodies found over the weekend by cadaver dogs.

Also found some old bins at my moms that actually had clothes of mine so now I have like 70 pairs of socks.....

I’m off call so I’ve had a chance to relax (no working late) and have a beer or 3....having some issues with people who mean well not knowing when I need space. Nobody here btw.

Trying to decide on renting or buying now I was getting ready to buy but this effected an already sparse market and effects which type of loan I could use. I think the last count on the Alameda Fire was 2,537 homes burned? I’m interested to see how easily owners of older homes are going to have rebuilding with zoning changes. Just a lot of unknowns still.

My bosses house made it through the S Obenchain Fire we just got word yesterday that it’s contained (80%) and he can return AND they actually already got power back. Not a big union fan but damn the Linemen must be working their asses off!

The air quality is still far above hazardous so hopefully we do get rain Friday. We have had low overnight temps which is how the firefighters were able to contain these fires.

Oregon man arrested after starting brush fire with Molotov cocktail accused of setting six more after he was released, police say

(CNN) — An Oregon man was arrested after he admitted to setting a brush fire along a highway, police said, as wildfires burn through large swaths of the West Coast.

Then, they said, he set six more.

Domingo Lopez Jr., 45, was booked Sunday afternoon after witnesses said he set a section of grass along the I-205 freeway on fire with what appears to be a Molotov Cocktail, according to a report by the Portland Police Bureau.

Lopez admitted to lighting the fire, and he was booked on charges of reckless burning and disorderly conduct in the second degree, according to the report.

Barely 12 hours later, on Monday morning around 3 a.m., Lopez was allegedly back at it. He was arrested once again accused of setting six more small fires, all along the same freeway.

"Portland Fire and Rescue extinguished three of them while passing community members put out the other three. All were caught early. No one was injured and no structures were burnt. Officers located Domingo Lopez, Junior walking along the shoulder and arrested him. They seized a lighter as evidence," the report reads.

The news comes as wildfires continue wreaking havoc on the West Coast of the US, consuming more than 1 million acres of land in Oregon alone, Gov. Kate Brown said last week. After weeks of the blazes, dozens of people have gone missing and at least 36 have died across California, Washington and Oregon.

Law enforcement agencies have been flooded with calls since at least Thursday about online rumors that members of Antifa, an anti-fascist, often far-left-wing movement, were arrested for setting fires across the state. But police have said they're false.

"Reports that extremists are setting wildfires in Oregon are untrue," the FBI's Portland field office said in a tweet Friday.

Many have lost their homes as well, and two cities in Oregon, Phoenix and Talent, have been nearly wiped out. All of this has been coupled with worsening air quality levels across the coast.

CNN could not discern whether Lopez had legal representation at this time.

Lopez is set to receive a mental health evaluation, according to the report, and was given citations for six additional counts of reckless burning.

^ Robert there were fires set up and down I-5 throughout the state.

The one that burned my stuff was arson.

There’s a time lapse Satellite video somewhere online, the spacing of the fires and the timing is something. I’m not saying it was any particular group but I will state emphatically that hobos are not an “organized” bunch.
