Gotta love how barren this thread is of real debate about how this whole thing is fake or why Trump is a genius for doing this..... A few mentioned Covid... NO ONE mentioned how that moron was bragging to a reporter about some secret nuclear weapons program we have that no one else has......

Well you didn’t ask anyone to comment about the secret nuclear weapons program and Woodward/Covid is what is currently tossed against the wall to see if it sticks. We can go with secret nuclear weapons next week if needed.

Since it’s a secret we can’t tell you much but I will say it is incredible and the greatest nuclear weapon ever. MNGA. Make nukes great again!

odd how cons who didn't know they were being lied to at the beginning and repeated Trump's lies and all his deflections and distractions from February to June are blithely saying they don't think Trump lied, even though he's on tape as admitting he lied...

or they are swallowing hard and accepting they were played for fools, or pretending they knew all along, even though Trump said he lied because he didn't trust his own people not to panic if he told them the truth...

either way, this must be how battered and abused spouses get through life, living with a serial philanderer

they are truly under some sort of spell, or have succumbed to the Twilight Zone

Is this really news? Does anyone believe that there is no work being done on a daily basis on various top secret projects including weapons which, I'm sure, also includes some stuff of nuclear and biological in nature.

Does anyone think any government with the capabilities to do so are not dabbling in things that can be argued as being rather unscrupulous?

As far as the nuclear comments go, a little gamesmanship never hurt us. Now others need to expend assets to to figure out if it is true. Diversionary tactics have often worked well.

Are nukes even viable today or are there systems that make them obsolete?

Yeah, US platforms like these are being used and newer systems are constantly being developed. Worked on gyroscopes for some of the guidance systems for the THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) and the EKV (Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle) programs back in the early 2000's. I think the EKV program was eventually canned for technical difficulties.

Military defense and weapons development doesn't stop just because we are not currently in a declared war. If you want peace, prepare for war.

I suppose I overthink to much. I doubt that space net being put up by spaceX is solely for non military purposes. When finished no communication system in the world will compare. Why not use such a platform for multiple forms of communication?

You know, build something that all the cool kids want, let them steal it and then exploit the flaws that were put there on purpose?

He was most likely referring to the mini nuke we designed back in 2018 that has an extremely small yield. Around 5 kilotons, which is about 1/3 the size of what we dropped on Japan. Everyone in the world is pretty sure we built it. There are defense think tanks that talk about it. Industry "experts" that talk about it. There are stories that it's already been deployed. Even the name of the sub it was deployed on has been bandied about. You know who doesn't talk about it? The United States government.

Maybe our intelligence experts have gotten smart enough to only tell trump about the secrets they specifically want to have "leaked"
