I've never boycotted anything in my life as far as I can remember... Netflix will never get another penny from me... a quick Google search will tell you why you should cancel as well...

Remember years ago when Netflix "split" and started charging twice as much for the same sh-t?

Yeah... I canceled back then.

I don’t agree with it the show is absolutely disgusting , but that is exactly how a majority of young girls/woman act, dress today just by looking through Facebook and some of the stupid crap on other social media.

I use Netflix all the time, it’s about all I have. No internet, cable, satellite at home. I watch what I get over the air or rent movies from redbox

get Hulu or prime... "girls do it" is a hideous excuse for continuing to provide money to an organization that promotes the sexualization of little girls....

I read a review... doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but it sounds like a legit story for those who are interested in sh*t like that.

You'll have to watch it and let us know how bad it was for real.

This is nothing like a beauty pageant... it's the sexual exploitation of 11 year olds...

What exactly do you think bezos is that makes him so much worse than someone promoting pedophilia?

Nothing, I’m just jealous I’m not a billionaire lol. It’s just my opinion that child beauty pageants is the sexual exploitation of kids. It also said it was a French show? Things seem a lot different across the pond as far sexuality stuff goes. Like I said just my opinions. Not trying to agree or that bs. That’s for Vicky

So I read about this a few weeks ago.

https://time.com/5886184/cuties-netflix-maimouna-doucoure/

I don't know where on the supply chain things changed. This is apparently a sundance film festival film. Here's the plot summary:
Quote:
Eleven-year-old Amy lives with her mom, Mariam, and younger brother, awaiting her father to rejoin the family from Senegal. Amy is fascinated by disobedient neighbor Angelica's free-spirited dance clique named "Cuties", a group that stands in sharp contrast to stoic Mariam's deeply held traditional values. Undeterred by the girls' initial brutal dismissal and eager to escape her family's simmering dysfunction, Amy, through an ignited awareness of her burgeoning femininity, propels the group to enthusiastically embrace an increasingly sensual dance routine, sparking the girls' hope to twerk their way to stardom at a local dance contest.

Which generally get's a "meh" with zero interest in watching enough of it to decide if I'm outraged.

But if you look in the Time article, by the time it was on Netflix, the movie poster changed significantly from the original....

I still give it a "meh" because I've now put in all the effort I care to on a movie I'll never watch, about someone's children I don't like.

Also in my opinion, it goes back to the parents of the children, what the hell were they thinking letting them make a movie like that?

This is nothing but pure sexualization of 11 year old girls. Netflix should be completely ashamed.

This is but one unraveling thread in the disintegration of our collective moral fabric.

That seems like work. And seems like watching a few minutes of a movie I don't have any interest in watching.

I mean.... we know there aren't any naked kids. It's on Netflix. Can't be any worse than that movie Kids from 1995. That one was actually specifically sexual.

Dude, it is so much worse... kids I got... super sexual, ya... but it doesn't graphically depict kids the way this movie does...

Cuties has 11 year old girls in skimpy outfits humping the floor and seductively sucking their own fingers...

One of the Netflix cautions of the film states that an 11 year old girl has her pants forcibly removed and the camera then zooms in on her underwear covered buttocks...

There aren't reasons... just child sexualization for the sake of child sexualization...

I seem to remember Kids ending with a rape of an underage girl.

I mean... it was 25 years ago. but I think that's how it ended.

I dunno man. If you want to "cancel" netflix (weren't you just complaining about cancel culture a couple months ago?) feel free...

I canceled my subscription several years ago anyway. The quality of their content wasn't as good as when we first signed up imo.

I'm with Opel!
Creativity is dead anyway, current art has been propped up by the creativity of the 60s for years now. The only original "art" coming out these days is filth, deception or "reality". Which isn't creative at all.
Even stand up is dead.&now sports is all whacked & the academy awards have racist pc quotas for art.
Leftists ruin everything even themselves

All I know is you and victor are watching some pretty disturbing stuff... I never heard of the movie kids (didn't even bother looking it up)...

And I still didn't watch the trailer for this one that opie wants everyone to watch... (and I won't cause, I'm just not interested).

Anyway, you're not the target audience of this movie (unless you're some weird perv that should be locked up anyway)...

I figure the target audience of this movie would be strippers, hookers, and 12 year old boys around the world... and possibly nuns.

Anyway, I'm not going to boycott netflix because there's a controversial show on there (I'm assuming everyone signed off on what ever is in the movie and there is nothing in the movie breaking any laws).

Why am I not boycotting? ... Because I still got a load of sh*t I'm not done watching yet... and probably won't be for a very long time.

Oh yeah, I got Amazon and Hulu live too... not boycotting those either :P

I know, someone like you who grew up in the era where the colorization of television was considered controversial will have a difficult time understanding what it is to be cancelled, but just imagine it's very similar to what happens to a dog when you adopt him; food doesn't taste as good, the tail doesn't wag as much, and 99% of life is in the rear view, not the windshield...

No...I'm infatuated with the first ammendment, I have not once defended the sexualization of an 11 year old.

What I have done... is point out you're the only one to have seen it... two, I'm not cancelling my netflix account because you got your panties in a bunch over a stupid f*ckin indie movie.
