That was the plan but they got an additional problem once they were in ....had an unexpected bone spur that had to be removed. I haven't talked to the surgeon yet but it seems like a balloon/ hybrid solution.

Was the original issue repeated infections, just chronic stuffiness or something else? (if you don't mind sharing).

I feel your pain, Chris...went through similar surgery several years ago, after decades of sinus infections and breathing issues...doctor doing the sinus surgery also found a bone spur that had to be removed as well as a deviated septum....made a big difference, especially to the quality of sleep...

Same as Delta.... Severe sinus infections throughout the year and sinus headaches. The Dr told my wife I was so closed off that the numerous antihistamines weren't even effective any longer.

Went through it back in '83 after I had broken my nose for the third time. Before then I had horrible sinus problems and my ENT doc decided that when he was fixing my smashed to hell nose that they would "clean up" my sinuses by removing a large chunk of them. I still remember when they removed the packing and thinking; "How much is up there?"

I hope you have a fast and complete recovery! fog

Argh, bad memories..........fuqed my nose up bad as a kid.......finally had โ€œsurgeryโ€ in 1970.......when they removed the gauze, which I swear was 3 feet long, felt like they were pulling my brains out through my nose!
Painful...

Dang CSGC.....hope you heal quickly and have no further issues!

I remember when I had upper dental implant surgery, and they had to do a sinus lift and bone graft. That sucked, big time. I've noticed my sense of smell isn't as good as it used to be, and the left nostril clogs up more often now.

Never had it but have heard from several others that it is no walk in the park.

Hope you have a fast recovery.
