The Star-Spangled Banner sucks as a song. The words are fine it's the music it was put to that make it hard for people to sing.

I think that America the Beautiful should replace it.

There! I said it! fog

Agreed! The banner is clunky at best. The thought of the greatest army on earth unable to even damage our flag does make for great nostalgia. An anthem acknowledging our need of Grace is waaay better!
Didn't they vote on which of the two should be the anthem back then and "God shed His grace on thee" was determined no bueno for a secular society?

The National Anthem, spanning the octaves as it does, it incredibly difficult to sing. If you want proof, just go to a ballgame where the locals try their hand at it. Most of them wind up glissing up and down the scales like they’re auditioning for America Once Had Talent.

I don't think you'll get a lot of flack. I think most people in musical circles will agree that. The music that they attached to the words kinda sucks.

That said, every time I hear it, it gives me goose bumps because I think it stands for much more than just a song. Taps does the same thing to me but at a greater level.

Your referring to Tapout, right? Remember when he asked Steve if he could change his screen name and Steve said no? He was too stupid just to create a new identity...

The movie? At a cemetery? Seems inappropriate to me. But, $15 is $15.... personally I'd have gone with a different movie.

It's to remind them of what freedom and liberty can do.🇺🇸

Everything else is just, here or there whining.

I'm gonna assume this is some sort of code for giving handies by the dumpster at the 7-11?
