Happy New Year to my fellow Jewish CBidders (and everyone else). May you be inscribed and sealed (in the Book of Life) for a good year!

Family and friends for two nights. Matzah ball soup, home-made round chala, Matzoh ball soup, apples and honey, sweet desserts...

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is one of Judaism's holiest days. Rosh Hashanah commemorates the creation of the world and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement.

I could go for some Motzah ball soup and I saw the word hash in there somewhere --- I'm hungry.

Chabad is blowing the shofar tomorrow at a park outside. I think I will take the girls so they can hear it. Hope we don't get cornered by the chabad folks though.

Happy New Year

We drove by but didn't attend. It looked more like a black hat convention. I am sad the girls didn't get to hear the shofar.

We would have stood out like an Eskimo in a Mikvah.

huh......

contrary to popular belief, Jews have robust senses of humor...thought all that wandering around and being tracked, hunted and put down like dogs robbed them of that gift...

I thought you might be, my sarcasm meter was turned off for the night when I read your post... Kids are running me ragged.

Until recently, Jews were fairly effectively prohibited from obtaining the means to defend themselves en mass. Now, not so much. I still want to go "hiking" around in Dimona.

Nah, we just deprecate ourselves and loved ones.
Take my wife, for instance...
