Anyone send warranty stuff to them recently?

I just dropped a Trezo in the mail to them since it was failing more than working...

I hope their service is better than their website security.

First, the web page uses outdated encryption and there is a browser warning.

Then, you have to set up a username and password, to process a RMA. Xikar then promptly emails you in plain text, your username and password, no obfuscation, no attempt at even protecting your credentials.

Yikes.

Anyway, what's the real world turn around time for stuff from them?

All of my Xikar products have been purchased from here so anytime I have an issue, I PM CelticBomber and he makes it right. In fact, the last time I had an issue with a lighter (Turrim), CB told me to keep the old one. IIRC, new one came within a week. Thanks StePHan! ThumpUp

I wish I was going in to shpos right now... My only mask is a ski mask, plus I open carry. Every place thought I was robbing them. Better if I just stay home for now.

haha, I kid about the open carry, concealed ONLY.

Truthfully, I am just not going out to places I don't absolutely have to right now...

I sent a lighter back either early this year or late last year. The lighter was at least 5 or 10 years old. Was a single torch with CI emblem on it. Freebie at some point long ago. They replaced it with a brand new, current model single torch, no questions asked. Didn't even ask me why it was sticky and smelled of Sambuca....

Thanks GaryR, good to know. I checked the box for "sentimental value", so I am hoping they can fix it, or just swap the guts out.

Just received the replacement Trezo. My model was no longer available so they swapped out for a brand new one.

Amazing.
