I decertified from the Democratic party and the ACLU today.

I wanted Trump out, he is. I wanted the ACLU to represent all Americans right, they won't.

I remain an independent constitutionalist with the desire to give Americans a hand up. I still delusionally hope federal government is downsized by 50 % to 75%. I still delusionally hope that all states treat all Americans equally.

After about an hour of showering off the slime I at least feel clean.

OK, for a reply related to the topic.

I never understood why anyone would want to certify themselves with any particular party. Wouldn't you just vote for the guy/gal who you feel would best represent your beliefs or stand on the issues no matter what party they belong to?

Are there any benefits to certifying yourself as a member of a particular party? Do you get some of those free return address labels like all the charities send you when they are looking for donations?

I don't understand why anyone would choose sides while under no obligation to do so.

Where I live, the primaries are just a formality. It's overwhelmingly Dem so no matter what party you vote for, it'll always be a Dem that gets in and it's just a matter of which name comes after the D. Even if a Rep or any other party make it on the ballot, they are pretty much a Dem with a little extra flavoring.

The only elections where I feel that the individual votes really count are the local elections or any referendums.

I hear ya, me personally I did switch from independent to Rpublicant so that I could vote in the primary.

Here in Oregon, I couldn’t vote in the primary at all as an independent but I could vote D or R if I registered as either. You know protect the two wings on the 💩bird....

I registered so I could vote in the primary. Then I forgot to get unregistered. The chit that happened in Portland and Seattle yesterday jogged my memory.

as you know, we are in the same State.
I might be misremembering but at one time people could register Independent and pick a party with candidates to vote for in the primaries.
But then Independent became an actual party so now I am listed as Unenrolled or Unaffiliated, yet can still request a ballot for any party with candidate(s), after which I am switched back to the neutral designation.

We have this cute little trick here in California where the top two vote getters in the primary advance to the general election. It is not uncommon that it is Democrat versus Democrat. Keeps things a one party state.

I think you're right. I was listed as an independent and, like you, kinda remembering that at primary time you had to pick one or the other in order to vote for that primary while still remaining officially an independent.

As you said, if you are not affiliated with a particular party I think the designation is now called Unaffiliated or Eunuch or something. I don't remember undergoing any surgeries. How about you? You still a tripod?

We have open primaries so I get to vote for whoever I want. Seems to me that requiring someone to register for one party or another in order to vote conflicts with one’s right to free speech.

When did you stop beating your wife?

Same thing.

Did you see a single post here asking for martial law? That would be more representative than disproving something that may or may NOT have happened.

(I would start by just looking at RayRay’s posts)

You've got to love how the guy has only been President for two days and now the world sucks and it's all his fault. Let the BDS pandemic begin. No masks required 'cause of freedom and stuff. I hope the libs and cons can peacefully transfer the tar and feathers. Gotta bring your own pitchforks though. Torches optional.

it was mentioned in a Newsmax interview a few weeks ago, by the revered victim Gen. Mike Flynn...thinking many cons here would have heard about it...hoping they would denounce the idea.....................crickets...

just wanted to bring out into the open the ideas Dear Leader has pumped into him by his advisers, after it was spotted in the papers the MyPillow guy took into the WH

Honestly, if I were expected to comment on every dumb thing a Liberal said we'd be welcoming our new cricket overlords. Besides, I'm too busy posting my own nonsense that only makes me giggle.

Z, I really think you should have apologized for not denouncing something never said publicly, never happened, was never attempted, and you never asked for. Since you are a good guy, apology accepted anyhow.

Now do I really need a sarcasm sign for a couple others here?

Why? Chaos is a money maker. If we really handle SARS-COVID2 right in third world countries world overpopulation will no longer be a problem and pollution will be way down. American Oligarchs keep control. Most sanctuary cities will eventually burn down. I can go on and on.

Win-win.

For the world’s “we are overpopulated” liberal elite crowd Covid would be perfect if they could pick and choose who gets it. It would be like a really really late term abortion.

HD, how are you sure that isn't true? Did the worlds biggest monetary power ever really cease to exist? Are Bildenbergs real meetings the quasi public ones? Why did Trump go crazy? Why do SARS-COVID viruses start in China? Wouldn't the 1st phase in weaponizing viruses be learning how to make them airborne? Wouldn't the real puppet masters hide in plain sight? A man smokes a cigar in a Scottish castle. When is a castle not a castle?
