House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has gone on record praising the storming of the Capitol as an "impressive show of democracy in action" -- the 2011 invasion of the Madison, Wis., state capitol, that is.

Pelosi's previous comment's resurfaced following the disturbing assault on the U.S. Capitol earlier this month at the hands of a right wing-mob who stormed the halls of Congress hoping to prevent the certification of the U.S. presidential election.

The assault drew forceful condemnations from both sides of the political aisle -- including Pelosi -- who wasted little time introducing former President Trump's second impeachment in the House for "inciting" the violence.

Ten years earlier, unionists stormed the Wisconsin State Capitol in an attempt to block a vote on collective bargaining reform. Thousands of demonstrators managed to enter the building by violently breaking down doors and shattering windows -- but the attack garnered much praise from Pelosi and other prominent Democrats at the time.

The occupiers were praised publically by Pelosi for their "impressive show of democracy in action." The House Speaker took to Twitter to express her "solidarity" with the activists as they attacked the Capitol, and sent senators into hiding until police managed to remove them from the building.

Fox News contributor Mark Thiessen highlighted Pelosi's previous remarks in a column for the Washington Post earlier this month, oberving that "in other words, Democrats were for occupying capitols before they were against it."

I'm not surprised, hypocrisy is pretty much a daily occurrence for the lizard people. 🦎🦎🦎🦎
It is after all...the will of the people that made it so.

It was in the news a bit back then. Not so much nationally but big locally. I was only in tune with it via the family back home in WI. Some of the legislators even bugged out of town and over state lines in attempts to block the vote. Real adult behavior: I'm not going to allow a vote... gotta catch me first...

If you look closely at the photo on the right you can kinda pick out 8Track... was he one of the leaders or an infiltrator? The world may never know...

That article ignores the part of her feeding those people a lie for months, asking them to gather, firing them up and telling them to storm the capital during their proceedings. It also doesn’t mention the deaths, attacking of officers, the nooses and the chants of death to.....

I wouldn’t cry if pelosi was removed for this.

Has anyone in this forum ever once praise Pelosi for anything?

Also, does pointing out how awful the other side is in hopes that no one notices how awful your own side is - does that make you an awful person?

Kinda sounds like what has been going on for the past 4 years, check that... like forever. Don't try to pretend that one side is all squeaky clean and holy and stuff.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/21/us/politics/biden-executive-orders-coronavirus.html

Last 2 paragraphs:

The Biden administration is calling on the health and human services secretary and the director of the National Institutes of Health to draft a plan to support the study of new drugs for Covid-19 and future public health crises through large, randomized trials. The treatments should be ones that “can be easily manufactured, distributed and administered, both domestically and internationally,” according to the executive order.

The emphasis on randomized trials follows two emergency approvals — for convalescent plasma and the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine — that scarred the Food and Drug Administration last year. Federal health officials, including F.D.A. scientists, remain upset over the agency’s decisions, under Trump administration pressure, to clear the treatments without strong evidence from randomized trials.

Don't get in the way of a Federal power grab over states. It was quite clear what the previous administration was doing in regards to combating the Chinese bio-weapon. They threw EVERYTHING and the kitchen sink at it to make sure that American lives were diminished at a minimum. We locked down the entire nation for a 14 day moratorium so hospitals weren't overrun and healthcare workers trampled into mush. What did we learn from it? Don't wear a mask, wear a mask, masks do no good, wear two masks. It's insanity at this point. This old senile coot called President Trump a xenophobe for shutting down our nation and not allowing foreigners in. What is he doing? Letting a poxxed caravan of hapless paid Soros fools aim towards out southern border while he's issuing a 100 day ZERO DEPORTATION EO!?! The fools voted for this crap. They wanted this anti-American mess. This continued chaos. It's not going to get better when you let fools at the helm. EVER! See the Federal power grab for what it is. The states had their shot. Well, they've failed they say. I say it was ALL political Kabuki theater. New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, California all shut their states down. Spigot off. Most of them have normal GDP's that make other nations CRAVE what they have. They shut it down to enact their rebellion. Like petulant little babies sitting in dirty diapers they sat there in their corners crying. "Don't change me, I like the dirty diaper!", "You're NOT the Boss of me!" and "We'll show YOU!" as the rest of the government readied medical ships, enacted the US government to control production of privately held companies to throttle up production of ventilators, manufactured field hospitals in Central Park and retrofitted air filtration systems because it STILL wasn't good enough and they STILL sat in their crappy diapers crying.

It was enough to shut down our economy. It was enough to put Americans out of work. It was enough to change an election. It's still not enough for them. See them for what they are. They really have nothing but hate left to spread.

The clinical trials were always ongoing in hydroxy. While that mess was happening some my hospitals were using it.

This isn’t what some would make it out to be and certainly isn’t what Dr Trump was dialing up lol.

I’m ok with disagreeing but if they (feds) are going to keep looking at it why isn’t the media taking his quotes out of context, misquoting him, and projecting about him?

They had over 60 years of clinical studies to base off of. All while the rebuffs were quietly wiped away.

Nah. I don't know if I ever mentioned it but, my wife is Jewish. I'm not up for the 4 hours of begging that is considered foreplay. Didn't sleep well. Maybe tomorrow. Thursday is also known as Thor's day. I'll bring the hammer then. Whistle

The robot clicked disapprovingly, gurgled briefly inside its cubical interior and extruded a pony glass of brownish liquid. "Sir, you will undoubtedly end up in a drunkard's grave, dead of hepatic cirrhosis," it informed me virtuously as it returned my ID card. I glared as I pushed the glass across the table.
