Landed square on my tailbone carrying salt out to the driveway and slipped on the stairs. Nailed my ass on the concrete steps. Elbows and head bruised too, but not as impressively as my ass. Ive got a 6-8" black and blue oval going from my tailbone into both buttcheeks.

Wife called me a dumbass while I was stuck on the ground hurting.

I can finally climb stairs, but not many. Can't reach the ground, using a steel dowel rod to put shoes on. Every day gets better, but I sure hurt my ass n back pretty good.

Woke up thinking the 500 would be done last night, so didn't bother looking until now... well done, Danm.

We're on our way to 7. And soon after that we'll see the 1.

It's all relative and stuff.

Proper clothing for current conditions helps tremendously.

Can't get my wife to buy into that though. She says she's driving from her heated garage in a heated car to a heated store there's no need for winter gear.

She even ended up 20 ft off the road in a ditch buried in a snowbank in a white Civic for 5 hours. Still doesn't agree because the car kept running so she stayed warm.

Can't get her to move somewhere warm either.

Looking at the forecast and thinking wife's battery is 4-5 years old and mine is 3-4 years old. Not sure which vehicle I should take. Hers requires less amperage to turn over but has an older battery. Mine requires more, but has a newer and much higher capacity battery.

I'll probably just take the truck and make her come pick me up if it doesn't start as usual. She's had to pick me up or I've hitched a ride home from work in every vehicle I've owned since I started working there. I'm sure the Ram's day is coming.

72F here right now and about that for the rest of the day (and into next week). Indoor humidity is 24%. I have sliders to the back porch/deck opened and I can just hear my pool's waterfall. Took another flexeril, so I am going to be stuck home for the rest of the day- unless someone else drives.

Good Morning! Its a gray 54 degrees today, looks like rain clouds heading our way.

Heading to the Ozarks in MO by way of Texas in few weeks. Helping the youngest son and his wife move to Salem, MO.

Did a rough draft of my taxes. I try to hit a zero sum game on my income taxes - get as close as possible to not owe anything nor get anything back. My taxes are pretty straight forward. I don't have anything too complicated so it's kinda easy.

Got pretty close this year. Quick estimate of about $1,300 back from Fed, about $50 owed to state. Before I send them in I'll wait a few week in case I get some unanticipated tax form in the mail. Then do a closer walk through to see if I missed anything.

Waiting on tax mail too.

But, IRS is not accepting returns until like February 15th. No reason to rush, but if you just want it done now, I get it

Dang.....sorry to hear about your tumble! My wife was walking out onto the little deck at our front stairs a few weeks back to retrieve an Amazon package, and when she stepped on the door mat outside, it slipped right out and she went down on her badonkadonk HARD. Had a fairly good sized bruise on her cheeks and inside the crack.....her back when outta whack from it too. had to go see the chiropractor to get re-aligned.

Hope you continue to feel better, brother!

I hope not, but I guess we'll find out. It's a small town but large enough to have a hospital. Pretty cold for me, but there are supposed to be some fantastic trout streams nearby.

We have a 1% city tax assessed on our salary. End of year you can reclaim for all days you worked outside the city limits (worked, not vacation or sick leave etc). I've not been in the office sicne last feb/march. I live outside the city. Cha ching

I'm just joking about it. Not familiar. I bet it's pretty. Seems like 2-3G of people looking just at wiki for 2 seconds to see where it was at. I wish them well. Have fun.

Congrats on the 500 Danm.

Getting ready to make some wings, and fries for dinner.

Also I managed to owe about $800 in taxes this year, to the Feds. Gonna file/pay in march.

I have not looked at the state yet. I'll get to that soon.

Thanks. It's pretty much the middle of nowhere, exactly what they wanted. She is an RN, hence the hospital and he is going to be a gentleman farmer or start some sort of business. Both are hard working and live pretty thrifty lives.

Their realtor did not have a lot of inventory, seems a lot of east and west coast refugees are moving there.

Not sure where they are coming from but any sort of a decent income makes for pretty good living. It has it's pros and cons but more pros if you ask me.

And hospital work could be an entirely different pace depending on where she is at now. Good luck to them.

Montauk and Meramec Springs, also quite a few other nice conversation areas within a relatively short drive such as Elephant Rocks and Tom Sauk

Did not know this. I'm never in any rush, typically wait until deadline.

I took a look at them today in order to procrastinate from doing school work and get the temperature of where I'll be once I do file them. I generally don't end up owing much or getting much back so a couple months here or there makes no diff to me.

I was mostly just procrastinating from writing up a stupid Cybersecurity project for school.
