New CDC guidance

Choose a mask with a nose wire
Use a mask fitter or brace
Check that it fits snugly
Add layers of material
Knot and tuck ear loops of 3-ply masks
DO NOT combine two disposable masks
DO NOT combine KN95 masks with any other type of mask

No way man. I have a nice one that was knitted by the girl scouts and I'm not giving up my Lynyrd Skynyrd hankie either. They've been working just fine.

But Doctor Faux-Chi said wearing 2 masks makes perfect sense. But then he changed his mind and said it didn't.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/02/go-cdc-study-finds-two-masks-better-one-just-one-week-fauci-backtracks-wearing-multiple-face-masks/

Here's a picture of Doctor Faux-Chi wearing 2 masks, he's got Penguins on one...cool huh? 🐧 Cool

https://www.nydailynews.com/resizer/STiWT2g7KIAQ6kr2rCDdX4-aRGg=/1400x0/top/cloudfront-us-east-1.images.arcpublishing.com/tronc/Q5YZHOAUWVGLDAW7S7KVT2LQIY.jpg

He said Penguins scare the Rona away.🐧

You know what, I'm going to wait for 🦎 Dictator Biden to tell me what is common sense mask reforms. He'll know, it was the will of the people that he'd be the smartest of them all.

Shocking Video From Just One Week Ago Shows Majority Of Americans Wearing Only One Mask
U.S.—In a truly disturbing video that was distributed on social networks this week, crowds of people across the U.S. are seen wearing only one mask, instead of the two masks that the CDC has recommended.

"I'm sick to my stomach watching the carnage unfold in this horrific footage," said New York Times editor Sally Chaben regarding the video that was shared millions of times this week, and later removed by YouTube. "Thousands of grandma-killers were walking among us undetected only one short week ago. I've never seen such callous disregard for life. I'm literally shaking right now."

Shockingly, experts revealed that people have been wearing only one mask for the last year-- likely resulting in billions of deaths that could have been prevented if people had cared enough to wear two or three masks at once.

Democrats have responded to the soul-crushing footage, calling for a third impeachment of Donald Trump, since he famously incited people to wear only one mask instead of following the science that clearly calls for two masks.

Biden has assured the public that the science on double masking will always be followed by his administration. He will also be awarding local 3M mask salesman Don Chambers for coming up with the "double-mask" idea.

Boondocks Ohio?

Imagine a place where they don't even ask, or care. Yes. It exists.

But yeah around here they don't really care. I have yet to wear one at any of the stores I frequent. It's maybe 50/50 here and people mind their own business.

In the Greater Boston metropolitan area, you'd get a beating within an inch of your life by suburban mothers.
And that's only if you got by security to get into the store.

Gene, is much silly going on. What is just plain wrong is our government creating and enforcing mask rules. Individual businesses should have been allowed to create their own policy. Then individuals would decide if they wanted to shop there or not.

He's not making this up. This is true out here in hickville, MA too. Maybe not to the same degree but the Karens are prevalent. These are usually the same people that ditch their masks and rubber gloves in the shopping carts when they are all done with them. I see it all the time.

As for security, we can only advise/encourage them to wear a mask and offer them a fresh disposable one to wear. The Karens are vocally outraged when we tell them that company policy and laws do not permit us to tackle the serial killer and staple one to their face nor expel them from the store.

At Costco today there was a sign that said if you can't wear a mask, then you at least have to wear a face shield. Mandatory. Private corporation. It will refund your membership fee upon request at any time.

I'm a senior with underlying health conditions...I very much appreciate everybody who wears a mask or two ...but even I don't consistently wear a mask when I'm out for a walk in the neighborhood since I rarely encounter anyone...I slip the mask on when I do...

I do not wish ill upon those who refuse to mask up or follow any of the guidelines...I still see a few in my town, but as more people got sick and died, the number of maskless people at the stores and in take-out lines at restaurants around town have dwindled...I've even seen some homeless peeps wearing masks....

most businesses that are open have mandatory mask policies...like no shoes, no shirt, no mask, no service...

my SIL works with many freedom loving cons for VROOM, in the digital online used car sales and auction business...they routinely held meetings without masks or distancing for many months, until one day his boss said that HIS boss tested positive after a meeting they had, and reported some symptoms. My SIL's boss had met with his group after that meeting, so everyone had to quarantine until they got a negative test...luckily my SIL's boss' test was negative...they all wear masks now, distance, and meet outside whenever possible

I just hope that people who ignore the health guidelines don't get sick, so sick that they end up in the ER/ICU when I, or a loved one, or one of you might need that bed. Whistlebritches had to have his heart surgery postponed...

Refuse to wear them here in a store and get arrested for trespassing if you refuse to leave as a result.

I still can’t believe anyone is still fighting against masks.

By the way exempted due to respiratory condition and the ADA is a non starter. Curbside pick up etc. is reasonable accommodation.

makes sense when one understands there is a virus out there that can kill a stranger's parents and we are all supposedly in this thing called life together.
So much silliness making this a test of wills and freedoms. It's about caring for other humans as much as yourself...
Whistlebritches ain't no limp wrist liberal, and he certainly didn't want to die for your (not you tw) false sense of freedom.

Agree, people with disabilities should not be allowed to shop in stores as long as we can supply separate but equal services such as curbside pick-up.

Not for sit down dining it isn't. And sometimes I do wear a mask if it's a larger restaurant. If it's a mom and pop where I'll be seated in 10 steps I may not.

don't get weird on me. You know what has been happening everywhere for over a year now. And our country has an insanely high percentage of the world's totals of infections and deaths!

You have no control on the spread of a virus, Maybe you get it. Maybe it's a mild reaction. Good for you, you're blessed.
But maybe you've been close enough to a thousand people you never met while contagious...

You really have no idea. We do know that we spread a zillion viruses all the time. They are remarkable in their ability to survive by finding hosts, and by their ability to save their species by morphing while humans come up with protections.
But this one can cause a chit load more than sniffles. Thankfully we found that out about this one.

I wouldn't knowingly give it to you, and I've never met your vulnerable parents. I'm just hoping others can love me enough without knowing me to help make this die from lack of willing hosts.

wonder if the rest of the country is experiencing significantly lower cases of flu and common colds like we are up here near Boston?

I'm thinking it's partly due to most people wearing masks of some sort combined with a bit less crowding in stores and stuff, and a lot of hand sanitizing and washing!

Maybe not covid so much due to the airborne factor, but colds and flu were always thought to be easily transmitted by touching door knobs, railings etc.

I haven't even touched a shopping cart without witnessing it being wiped down or doing it myself. And I never touched things like escalator rails and elevator buttons with bare hands/fingers even years ago...
but I think some of the changes in habit will stick around, especially among people who are normally conscientious about these things anyway.

Just think of all the lives we'd save if we permanently shut down all businesses and social gatherings.

If we outlaw pools and beaches, accidental drownings will plummet.

Drop the speed limit to 35 MPH, poof car related deaths are a thing of the past.

Upon rereading my post, I still don't see where I indicated any need of draconian government or legal involvement. Hoping for common sense for sure. Should be more than enough. Death is not the only concern, you seem fixated on framing all comments on it alone though. I can't defend a position I do not support, so I won't.

Not sure what your objection is to the intelligent encouragement of diligent hygienic practices...especially in the traditional months of cold and flu season...and especially in light of new empirical evidence.

It seems Trump wanted the virus to propagate, knowing its impact on the US demographic.

How else can you rationalize the consistent misdirection.

Hydroxychloroquine. What a malevolent jackass.
