Welcome to the dark side Luke.

On Cbid that I have tried are:

601 Blue robustos - I like these a lot and think they're one of the better deals on here. You can get a 5iver for $15-$17.

Oliva Serie G maduro perfectos. I want to try the belicosos because they're short belicosos, and I often like those, but haven't gotten around to it.

Ave Maria Argentum perfectos - the morning stars. Another good value.

Of course the Aging Room Quattros are really good. A little more dinero, but not too that much.

Oh, and Obsidian Gordos. They usually go for $10 or so and are pretty good. They'd be better in a smaller gauge, but worth the price.

Don't encourage him. I prefer less competition when I'm looking to buy.

Was a fan of the OR Tat ME but not recent production, Anejo 46 is a must try imo and Perdomo Small Batch is an under the radar goodie as well (thanks Z now everyone knows).

My preference is Tat 7th reserva over most other Tats (CB over SA all day every day), the new reserva lines need age which I know you are against. I'd also add in there some of AJ's stuff if you're looking for power like MOW puro authentico but stick to the corona size others are not as good. If you want a medium strength chocolate bar I would highly suggest the John Hay cadet or Diplomat (I grab their Nic maduro when I visit the shop every year around Columbus weekend). LFD has a few good ones like the La Nox but steer clear of the chisel tips, nothing but burn issues with them from my experience.

There are probably many more cause I love me some maduros, but I haven't been in the humi in awhile cause of weather and can't remember what I have stocked in there currently.

Just thought of one, Intemperance BA envy is really good. Brazilian Arapicara is a tasty wrapper but not many out there to chose from. Used to be a great little corona Emilio Cigars produced called Draig K. They had major burn issues but the flavor was so good it almost made it worth it. If someone could reproduce that profile without the hassle of relighting every 10 minutes I'd have a new favorite!

Have you ever smoked a CUPIDO TUXEDO, nixon ?
I have one for ya, but you probably won't like it, as it has about 6 or 7 years of age on it ! Sarcasm

Good call Shaun.

The Intemperance is pretty strong though.

Should have added the Tat PCR. The best anytime cigar there is (besides the R44)

Oh and if going SA, I do like the La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amor Reserva line, haven't had many recently but do remember liking them a good bit.

I haven't smoked any in years, probably need to change that, but I really liked what Nick Perdomo accomplished with his 10th anni reserve maduros, especially at the price point they hit. For comparison, the Padron Anni in maduro is rather pedestrian (Nat is a whole nother thing).

Shaun, I remember those Draig K's, almost completely unsmokeable, never bought another box.

Not a SA fan but the Tatuaje ME II, the LAdC Mi Amor Reserva, LFD La Volcada are the best IMO.

LFD La Nox is another I forgot.

I'm not sure if it's me or what but initially I liked MSA; however, at some point in time, maybe around late 2017 or early '18, I lost my taste for San Andres wrapped cigars. Always thought it was a change in my wheelhouse and ever-evolving palate but now I'm wondering if the expanded use of MSA has resulted in a change of growing methods and even curing process? I don't remember the "old" MSA cigars having as much bite as the "new" ones and definitely feel there's been a change in flavor.

Anyone else with similar thoughts? Think

It appears on the desktop version.

I understand your reasoning. Fungus growing on a turd doesn’t sound appealing.
But you do realize most of the produce you consume daily was fertilized with manure.
You’re eating second hand schitt. Maybe that extra degree of separation makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

Bon Appétit!

even stuff from CBid and other US online shops?

they all seem to store their cigars at 70 RH, at least the few shipments I tested a while ago...put the shipment into an empty ziplock box, sealed it and after a day, the RH was 70...too wet, imho...cigars don't draw as well and could have more burn issues like canoeing and tunneling...ymmv

I don't think I've ever had a Padron that I didn't like. I got my first one from my vet way back when.

Dave(zipcode) sent me a Padron 2000 Maduro in my newbie package and I've been hooked on Padron ever since.
