We did, but I felt bad... so you're getting a little box of sunmaid raisins that you can pass on to some poor kid at Halloween...

Marcus being the responsible one in our relationship reached out to me and whispered his preferences in my pm ear. I will gather may package up in the next two days for a hotly anticipated entrance, I hope the humidor is properly moistened. To ensure proper performance I’ll pack a boveeda, I wouldn’t want to delay the event.

I got a package from Jpk the yesterday.. That was fast!

Robustos banded with a porkypine, a chicken and a sheep...
Also 2 more cigars.. an Olancho and Punch Elite EMS 6 in a corona size.

heh.. nice touch, mine to smoothlight will have numbers 1,2, and 3 with tape..

Also sent..

An authentic Wisconsin Danish Kringle; a jelly filled puff pastry with glaze on top in the shape of a foot wide doughnut.
A Wisconsin 6" dia Cookie with walnuts, chocolate, oats n cranberries.
A bottle of Wisconsin craft beer called "The Spotted Cow" from New Glarus brewing co.

I haven't had a chance to try any of the cigars yet, I haven't had a cigar in days and then days before that.
It seems I no sooner sit down and have to get up again lately, but when I opened JP's box, the first thing out was the Danish Kringle and half got devoured before anything else came out of the box! WTG JP!

I'm working on your box Smoothlight, I'm trying to get it out before the weekend
I realize I'm dragging azz here, but I promise you'll get a box soon.

Responsible? No one has ever called me that without the ir in front of it! I, too, am running late on getting this out. Made a few picks today, just trying to finalize the selection now...decisions, decisions...maybe I'll just send them all. Hopefully I'll be able to ship by Friday.
PS...my box is, I mean, my humidor is moist and ready for an extended camping trip! whip

Yea, I got the message..

At first I thought you were trying to give me clues about the cigars,
but the little bird chirped a word and gave it away..

Which brings me to the first gar I smoked (the chicken) .. Medium brown 5-1/2"
My first guess is something fresh, or farm rolled..?
Some hot spice with earthy/bready leather and a long citrus finish.
I smoked it a few hours ago and can still taste citrus on my tongue.
Too good and too many transitions to be a cheap stick..
Without smoking the others, I'm gonna guess middle or top quality stick ,
but keeping my options open until I test the rest..

Smoked your porkypine today Jp.
It had the same flavors as the chicken, but in an attenuated form..
No big transitions, just the same flavors pretty much throughout.
Did you give me the same cigar in a fuma or 2nd or something?
Unless I've got covid and everything is starting to taste the same,
I'd say this is some kinda mindpluck.
Medium to lower level stick, but got one more to go..

Smoothlight, hell or highwater, your box is taped up and will ship tomorrow.

Package received from Smooth Light today. Here's the damage:

BLIND SMOKES:
Light blonde Pyramid 6.5x54
Med-dark brown, unfinished foot, pigtail cap 6x58
Maduro, 6.25x60

Also included a note with a cute, li'l kitten in a lawn chair with the following clue (maybe):
"Two of the unmarked, I smoke at the beach always. The Other at sunset often."

EXTRAS:
Gurkha Chairmans Select Rothschild Perfecto x2 - NH
5 Vegas Cask Strength Toro x2 - NH
Alec Bradley Caribbean Cask x2 - NH
Graycliff Espresso Double Espresso x1 - NH

Also included an awesome Caldwell Cigars key chain of their logo of a guy with a revolver smoking a cigar on a Penny Farthing bicycle.

Thanks, Smooth! Looking forward trying all of these and guessing at the mystery stogies. Hopefully find time to smoke and review at least one before the weekend is over.

Here's my first review.

APPEARANCE: 2/3
6x60, unfinished foot, Pigtail cap, Medium Brown Wrapper, Heavy Veins, Dull sheen with a few sparkles of minerality, Firm with no soft spots, Pigtail is tight, Rustic presentation

FIRST THIRD: 2/2
Prelight aroma – barnyard, hay
Cold draw – Light notes of mint and milk chocolate
-lit more easily than expected with the unfinished foot
- Chocolate and min flavor, reminds me of a mild thin mint cookie (this subsided after the first few puffs)
- Sweet breadiness with toasted nut aroma from the side stream (smoke from the foot)
- Burn line is a little wavy but not out of control
- Nut flavors continue to develop as it burns
- Easy, smooth retro-hale without prickliness, pleasant
- Ash is solid is solid at 1”
- Starts to develop some buttery, creaminess to go with the toasted bread

SECOND THIRD: 2/2
- Cashews
- Mild mintiness returns after the 1st ash drops at around 1.25”
- One side is burning slightly slower
- Flavor reminds me of Honduran cigars from the Villazon factory (which used to be some of my favorites), but more refined
- Sweetness starts to build when the 2nd ash reaches 1”
- Slow side catches up without touch-up, 2nd ash falls at 1.5”

FINAL THIRD: 2/2
- Burn goes off on 1 side again, applied gentle touch-up, corrected
- Intensity and body is building
- Nuttiness crosses over to meaty – well aged steak flavor
- Chocolate transitions to leather
- Retro-hale becomes a bit harsher

CONSTRUCTION: 2/3
- Draw has a good level of resistance
- Produces a moderately-high volume of smoke
- Burn was not completely straight, but OK
- Ash was firm and held on well

10/12 for my final score (made up this point system on the fly)

GEUSS: I’m going to guess this is the Premium Cigar
Going to go out on a limb and say it is an Esteban Carreras Chupa Cabra, mostly based on the size and construction – unfinished foot and pigtail cap.

Whether my guess is right or not – I’ll be looking to get more of this stick! It was very tasty. Thanks, Smooth!
Might like to try it in a smaller RG, 60 is a bit large for my tastes. However smoking this one might make me reconsider.

Finally got to Jp's last cigar, the Sheep.

A chocolatey brown 5' x 54 ish stick. Uneven in apperance with light barnyard/hay aroma
This was a spice bomb. Like smoking a habanero pepper from start to finish with bitter chocolate finish in the last 3rd.
I'm not a fan of super spicy/peppery cigars, but can't let that sway me.
The construction was very good. A solid light grey ash held on for a good half of the cigar and fell off in a solid chunk.
This was not a cheap cigar.

My final assessment from most expensive to least: (Jp did not make this easy)

The Chicken 5-1/2 x 48 ish desert brown wrapper
By appearance, I'd have guessed a cheaper stick. Very bumpy and thick veins throughout the wrapper.
When I clipped the head, there were visible sticks but the draw was good.
Some good transitions with long citrusy lemon grass finish gave it away as a good quality smoke.

The Sheep 5 x 54 ish smooth chocolate brown wrapper
The draw was tight at first, but loosened up quickly to a perfect draw with lots of smoke.
Because of construction and consistency (no transitions) I'd call this a solid medium quality.
Reminded me of a La Gloria Cubana Esteli, but I haven't smoked enough to say for sure..

The Porkypine 5-1/4 x 48 ish stick medium brown wrapper
I can't say much about the ash, I bumped it against me knee and smushed it an inch in.
It had consistent flavors of citrus and light spice.
I liked it more than the Sheep, but because of Sheep's performance, I'll put this one on the lower end

... And the envelope please...

Shyte !!! I shoulda stuck to flavors...

Premium cigar; The Chicken.
Montecristo Espada Guard

Mid Range; The Porkypine
Macnudo Inspirado Orange Robusto

Low Grade; The Sheep
Consuegra #72 (yardgar)

Thank you Jp, the cigars and stuff were great.

Thanks to Stinger88 for the post, this was fun!
Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with..
