Took down the snowfence this morning, spring is officially here in WI (even though they're talking about freezing rain tonight).

I smoked a Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sun Grown Churchill while taking care of this task. Realized this is pretty much the only yardgar I have in my humidor at the moment and I only have 7 of them left... these sticks are just about perfect in my book to smoke while working in the yard. Good flavor, good construction and cheap enough that you don't gotta worry about it if you have to let em go 1/2 smoked. I'll probably pick more of these up, but I like variety and options. So what's your favorite yardgar?

My mother doesn't let me smoke yardgars.

Maduro- maybe the Nica Libre toros. You can get 5 packs for $7 or $7.50. I would consider them yardgars because of the price, but I like them, will happily smoke one every once and a while for my nightly cigar and be content.

Natural - I like 5 Vegas torpedos. Same thoughts. Cheap price, but I'm ok smoking one generally.

Grabbed a few of these in 5ers and boxes (corona or robusto) last fall so they could rest over the winter. They both can be found pretty readily and pretty cheap.

Pantheon Infernos also an AJ blend but seems to be discontinued now that I look for it

other than that I have MB3s and stuff like that I wouldn't say are just yard gars but may fit into the category

CAO Brazillia.

I shouldn't call them yard gars as I smoke them pretty regularly, but if I have to put one down halfway through, I don't even give it a second thought.

Are you flogging kidding? Flogging CAO Brazillia is considered (...by some...) THE best cigar...ever!

As for me, I stopped smoking cigars while doing yard work or mindless tasks. I clinch too hard on them while weed whacking, which causes me to drool too much. And I like my mindless tasks to be mindless and not have to worry about keeping a stogie lit or ashed before it ashes on me. d'oh!

I’m the yard gar king.

I like oliva saison. Originals. Torpedo seems to be my fav. 2$
Gilberto oliva Dior 2$
Some hate them gran habano 2002 2$ Only the robusto
La perla black pearl morado. Little harsh. I want that at times 2$
Nica libre. Under 2
Don Rafael Nicaragua under 2. Smell great. Golf course stick
Oliva o and master blends. I would pay much more for. But 3$
Honestly those are just off the top of my head. I have those around on hand.

I smoke those as my daily’s. Weekends I smoke a little better.

Snake speaks the truth, he is the king of the good budget smoke. Second the Olivia saison. I enjoy the Perdomo slow aged 826 SG. Got them for 1.25 a stick here.

I won't lie, I like it more than I should probably admit, and smoke it regularly, but at $2-$3 per stick, if it fall into the hooker's arse crack and I gotta toss it, so be it.

And while I am being honest, I don't smoke cigars while doing yard work, but I do smoke them while working on my dayjob at night in the backyard after the kids go down. I often forget to smoke the cigar right next to me as I hammer away on the laptop, so so my "working" cigars tend to go out often and get left half smoked... Brazilia is perfect for this.

The Arturo Fuente curly head maduro is also a winner. It can be had 3$. I think it’s always that price. I wouldn’t have guessed it to be mixed filler. I’d buy a box of those but I’ve filled almost all my space to the point I’m not buying

Agree. The now extinct (as far as I know) Padron Fumas were a nice mixed filler cigar too. I don't think they were sold online but only in select shops in and around the Florida/Miami market. I received a few of them in bombs way back when.

After the self proclaimed “king” spoke. I grabbed my tiara and headed to post office.

9505 5143 5217 1086 4013 73.

No retaliation clause written and signed within

Maybe you’ll find something in there you like and can grab for mindless activities

Never liked the curly head, the curly head deluxe was a bit better but still not on my buy list. I may still have a few buried somewhere.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Hopefully this discussion doesn't make the price go too high on cbid!

I bought a bundle 3 months ago. Had to get them replaced they were so dry when they arrived 11 of them were cracked. Replacement bundle was in better condition, they’re not bad, deceptively light in body for my tastes. I think they’re made by Oliva.

I bought a bundle of torps a couple of yrs ago, stripped them nekkid, and let them sit until smoking one recently. It was damn good, honestly.

I know you hate me right now Palama, but that doesn't stop me from agreeing with you.
I can't smoke a cigar while doing menial tasks,
I don't like smoke in my face or relighting all the time.

Not including cooking on the grill, that's one of my fave times to smoke.

I love having a cigar while cooking on the grill.. although I always find that the food is done before my cigar is done.

Thanks, smooth - have those added into the rotation.

I enjoy smoking while I grill too. because cooking usually take less time than a cigar, I frequent have a pipe while grilling. I have a number of smaller pipes, plus quality pipe tobacco is comparatively cheaper than cigars.

Love the smell of BBQ and gars, together while watching the sunset. So what if it goes out grilling, you know it's right there after eating (kinda like dessert)...

He may be the “yard gar” king.

But king of the good budget smoke?
Um.........not quite.
That title goes back and forth between Tony and DP Newell.

Eh.........I’m out of the yard gar game.
Not an elitist or anything, but I quit buying $1 and $2 cigars some time ago.
Sub $3 cigars I’d smoke these days are hard to find.
Some of the less expensive (cigars $3ish or so) I still smoke include smaller Tats (PCR, Petite), some DPG stuff, Jaime Garcia Petite Rob, Kristoff Sumatra, Antiguedad....but they are hard to find now at $3....and others.

Plenty of good (imho) cigars can be had in the $4 to $5 range.

Holy crap, Jake! I have plenty of cigars to smoke this spring now! Thanks, brother! There's a few in here that I'd consider more than yard gars too. Maybe I'll fire those up when I light the grill...

Every cigar is a yard-gar if you're willing to fire it up. I don't smoke anything that most would consider "yard-gars" - like @KingoftheCove says, not an elitist, but no desire to smoke the less desirable stuff.

My "yardgars" are Brickhouse Robustos, Henry Clay Warhawks, Aladino Corojos, Fuente Short Storys or Don Carlos, or Party Shorts / HUHC / RASCC / PLPCs.
