Chauvin's attorney lost my attention a long time ago. Get to the point already.

I don't have the time to follow it live.

Does he have just one attorney or a team?

Can't tell, but only one lawyer sitting at his table with him. The union is probably paying Chauvin's defense so I've got to believe there are at least a few others.

George Floyd.

The only man to have 4 times a lethal dose of fentanyl and COVID19 and to not be listed as a COVID19 death.

He is a trailblazer!

Do you believe Floyd was solely at fault for his death?

No I don’t.

They failed to render aid the second he went unconscious. There’s fault there that could be criminal and I’m very UN QUALIFIED to determine that. I will say the charges they filed will be a tough hurdle and IMO feed an appeal if needed.

I’ve watched the entire video multiple times and it makes me sad to hear his behavior, to hear the cops verbal tone and phrases used a couple times, and I also wish that they would have called medical sooner. But that’s all Monday morning quarterbacking and unlike most in the current loud generation I don’t think my opinion has more merit than other’s. It’s just my opinion.

I think the prosecutor will have a hard time making a case for the charges. No matter what the decision Minneapolis is in a bad spot.

I think the jury will convict as of right now... and there is so much more to come.

Robert, you may be correct. I think jury nullification will cause at least one person not to convict. Plus I think no bruising on the neck of the body changes some elements.

Not me, they tried but I'm not easily led as to how think so they sent me home.
And they didn't even know I'm pro jury nullification.

I’ve been on two juries. One was a simple DUI and over in a day. The other was rape and attempted murder of an elderly woman and rape of a second woman and lasted a month.

The Covid spike in January got me out of another jury summons.

Several, I spent a month on jury duty in LA, one civil trial and three criminal trials. I was called to jury duty in Texas and South Carolina, but the cases were either settled or they had a jury before my number came up.

Interesting work, got to hear some sharp cookie lawyers and met a lot of interesting jurors.

I also met one lawyer I suspect had someone else take the bar exam for him, what an idiot. Amoung puzzling questions, so bad the Judge interrupted and ask an obvious question. He also, in court, referred to stolen property as "stolendid", I kid you not. Months after my term on jury duty there was an article in the paper about a lawyer getting fired for taking a juror to Las Vegas for a weekend of fun. The juror in question was sitting on a trial the lawyer was prosicuting.

Just for balance, there was one idiot juror that chose not believe the option of a finger print expert.

Four times the lethal dose of fentynol??

Is that even true?

If so...

That says everything...

It tells me he was a VERY VERY HARD CORD JUNKIE HEROIN ADDICT THAT had an Amazing tollerance to Chinese fentynol added to the brown powder junk...

If he survived that dose ? With asthma? High blood pressure and a heart condition? Then he was a caped crusader flying high and higher stratosphere superman...

I really don't get it...at all...

I finally saw the entire 9 minute video. The real shocker for me was when Chauvin wouldn't even remove his knee from Floyd's neck to let the paramedic check for a pulse. Criminally negligent homicide at the very least, IMO.

Except there’s no way to know when he died.....and he was silent and motionless for some time before EMTs arrived. Four times lethal fentanyl and COVID19......and a knee which didn’t leave a bruise did him in?

Optics are the biggest problem with this case. Well that and one parties use of narrative and far too many citizens being morons.

optics, meaning watching in real time for 9 minutes?

does chauvin go on trial here right after the victim?

Jeebus, maybe the cop is innocent, but the dead guy definitely isn't guilty.

I served on a jury once. It can make you appreciate the way the justice system works. Since that time I figured out how to get excused during the voir dire examination.

been called many times over the years but always sent home.

A friend was on a Grand Jury for something like 4 or 6 months a while back. He liked the experience and said it was amazing how often they sided with the government...was impressed by how well they had researched to make sure they had a real case against the likely perp.

And he is a regular (not fringe) Lib, not even very political.

Once the lawyers see frank enter the room, they know it's going to be a hung jury.

On one criminal trial jury we all agreed on the case, but it was right at 11:00 AM so someone, Whistle me, suggested holding out a little longer to get the court to buy us lunch, it wasn't bad and our bailiff was happy too.

So, the 9 minute vid was just the kneeling part, yes? LA Times reported that Chauvin pressed to his neck/back for 7:45, not 8:45.

But, were you able to see the video before that? Where they show the fentanyl in his mouth? Then it was gone? His sketchy (to say the least) behavior--caused by him being on speed, the aforementioned fentanyl, and I think alcohol.

Then he resisted two officers for how long? Just under 10 mins. And in the back of the car, he kept saying he couldn't breathe. Well before being on the ground.

And also, you neglected to say that the officers checked for a pulse routinely for him (don't know the exact number, but it was more than two).

He ingested lethal doses of drugs. He killed himself. It wasn't homicide, it was suicide.
