Playing with numbers.

So you like gambling? The stock market is the biggest casino in the world - crypto is just a new kid on the block.

I got some stimulus money because I'm a poor college student living below the poverty line so I put the "free" money into a separate brokerage account for my kids (separate from their other college accounts for tax purposes). Try to teach them the value of investing and compound interest and all that s#it.

Right now I pretty much just did a boring old 3 fund Boglehead thingy: https://www.optimizedportfolio.com/bogleheads-3-fund-portfolio/. Safe and steady growth with no thinking about it. This is probably what your standard 401(k) looks like with some adjustments on the % depending on your age and target retirement age. (side note: Frank's 401(k) is most likely in the form of rocks and papyrus, Jonsie's is in rusted metal and used scratch tickets).

But the kids are young and can take the risk of going extreme. I'm thinking putting the pedal to the metal and doing the Hedgefundies excellent adventure strategy... https://www.optimizedportfolio.com/hedgefundie-adventure/

A little bit hesitant to pull the trigger but it would be an interesting ride. The numbers and back test says it will beat the market in the long term although it will be a bumpy ride along the way https://tinyurl.com/rjunh4v4

No pain, no gain.

Le HockeyDad denied my request to buy into the torches and pitchforks racket he's running so if the market does a 1929, I'll blame him.

Didn’t know you played tennis!

Maybe one day we (...you, Delta and me...) find a 4th and play some crippled old men doubles. ‘Course only Al and I are in the Social Security bracket so maybe won’t be totally old men.

And truth be told, I haven’t picked up a racket in about 9 years.

Hi....sitting outside on a beautiful morning working at my patio table. Good cuppa joe and got my Missouri Meerschaum loaded up with some Gawith 1792 Flake. I never want to go back to the office.

Lemme explain how my night went... I hurt my ankle lightly jogging after an errant ball... I jumped about 2 inches off the ground and hurt my back... and then I topped the night off by smashing my racket into my left index finger while swinging at and missing a ball...

Checked carvana and zoom to see what they'd give me for the truck. Brother in law just sold his 2017 wrangler bought new for 40k, for 46k to zoom.

They offered 34k for my truck. That's more than I paid last year, and I paid too much just to be done with the truck hunt. But finding a replacement is a problem. Theres no trucks out there, even less in the HD segment

Maybe theyll fix the truck and it'll be great...

You deserve a brand new truck with all the problems you have been having and p.o.s. you have put up with for too long.

Son's windshield cracked so we have an appointment at Safelite this afternoon. Made canna-butter yesterday and I have it out on the counter to soften- before creaming it with sugar, egg, flower, vanilla, baking powder or soda and white chocolate chips... and then some sprinkles- to make butter cookies.

If I could afford a new one, with my luck it'll still be a lemon.

Just called them as I was walking into menards to buy a new garage door opener.

They got it checked in, but won't get it in a bay today.

Tiny dealership, wasn't expecting a quick turnaround.

I haven't played tennis in about 14 years. Got rid of my rackets last year, so I'm not planning on a re-start. Still up for table tennis - I'm rusty tho and can't handle playing with noobs.

85* and muggy, supposed to get to low 90's yet today.

For some reason I was super drained yesterday but was able to do a lot of layabout and slip in and out of naps. Past couple days been having muscle cramps in my right calf that wakes me up in the middle of the night. No apparent reason that I can identify.

Was told that I need to eat more bananas and stuff, potassium would probably help (shrug). Was also told that it's a sign of getting old... which is kinda given and a default explanation that covers just about any random ache and pain that I encounter.

Potassium is very likely the issue. I keep Potassium chews on had for that issue. At least for me, I chew 1 and fairly soon the cramps stop.

91/75 with high humidity. Not too much of a chance of rain. Typical spring weather transitioning to summer when the breeze stops 2-3 weeks from know.

Hello Mrs. Tank.

Did not find the bluefin we were looking for, but we caught some big bonito and a big ol' barracuda yesterday. Drank beer and smoked cigars, so it wasn't too bad...

Just got back from swim workout, then went to Dillards to return a pair of Birkenstock I bought over the weekend. Just didn't fit my foot as the arch was too high. Didn't have wife's debit card with me so they would not take the return today. I have to go back tomorrow.

In the meantime, I just ate three of the cookies I baked yesterday. Had five last night...
