I used to smoke the sh*t outta Padilla cigars. Then, over the years, they sorta became a CI/CBID bargain brand, much like Torano.

Are any of them any good these days?

I concur with what you just said used to be true...
I smoked a ton of them too...

Then I stopped bidding on them...

Had some "1968 golden bear" Gordo's and they sucked ROTT...
AFTER 1 YEAR THEY were decent but not great...
Got them very cheap about 2 yrs ago...

Used to buy those Padilla FUMAS BY THE BUNDLES FOR YEARS, good yard gars...

They/ Padilla/ Used to have a premium ??? Forget the name & #???that everyone bid on and I got several bundles but then they changed...no longer the same leaf combinations...

^ even post Garcia they were very good for some time. Then he wondered around trying to find a factory or build one (I don’t GAF or remember which) but he started posting on social media about how buyers on online retailers were ruining the industry. All while he’s been posting dragged photos of him and different broads and different super cars (I assumed they were both rentals). Hopefully he was smart enough to be able to write those off as a marketing expense, he sure AF wasn’t that smart waiving Garcia off.

My local (yes they protect me) gave me a sample of a new Padilla high end “Reserva” blend they were thinking about carrying. It was good. Gave him my review and he laughed “that’s what I expected, thanks for confirming” it was like $18.

LOL NO!

The "Finest Hour" and the Atremis lines are "good", decent, average smokes.

Beyond those, like the Dominus and Series '68, are below average and =2 current La Perla Habana lines like Rojo and Classic.
