Have a Whynter and I can not seem to get the humidity to increase above 57%. Any ideas? I have used packs and distilled water, just interested in anyone who may have had an issue and what they did to fix.

😘ZRX1200. Thanks for your reply. No privilege here. I Purchased it from a man getting rid of all his cigar stuff. Maybe the deal was to good.

1. have you confirmed the reading is correct with a second hygrometer?

2. Can you inspect the seals to see if they are damaged?

For a Whynter to work effectively, you need to close the lid.

Whynter is coming and it's not going to rain!

At least that's how I read it.

Just get boveda or HF beads and quit overthinking it.

I trust analog hydrometers less than Mexican tap water.

Darken the room and put a flashlight inside (preferably on) Iffn' you can see light escaping around the door, glass, etc you know where to start sealing.

What type of humidification device are you using?
What is the temperature in the room?
What size is the fridge?
What is the temp inside the unit?

That's why I don't use Mexican tap water in my humidor.
