Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.

No more “experimental drug”. As approved as aspirin.

So let’s here the denial machine punch into high gear…..

Did they put out the fine print side effects warning list yet?
You know the list the lawyer reads real fast in a monotone voice at the end of the drug commercial.
Or the one in the magazine print add that then has two pages of fine print after the ad.

Has been shown to cause......................................,.......... & Death.

That'll be a interesting read for some

Brew I have always said if you're sick, fat &/or old or surrounded by those who are you should talk to your Dr. About the vaccine.

But if you've got natural antibodies, are healthy, fit, young & not exposed to those who aren't, science says avoid the spike protein unsterile clot shot.

Especially if you're very young

When have I ever preached?
I certainly haven't preached "the will of the LORD" here.

sure I encourage faith & bible reading.
I do enjoy debating self proclaimed "Atheists"
I also Hate the practice of infanticide.
So if that's too preachy for you... Oh well, still America for the moment.

You share your thoughts freely, I'll respectfully share mine.

Now I wanna preach!

God doesn't believe in Atheists.

There, that's about as preachy as I get on these boards

Love is the greatest thing in religion, and if that is forgotten nothing can take it's place. Without it chills one's feeling until they despise heaven's pure breezes.

Enough is never enough with legalism!

But why sow doubt about an approved protection for public health taken by millions and millions of Americans with little to no effect? What ax are you grinding?

I'm not on any meds Frank

Firm believer in the health formula
N/C = H
Nutrition divided by calories equals Health

A high nutrition low calorie diet cures most of what people take drugs for everyday.

Heart disease, blood pressure, cholesterol, -2 diabetes, E.D., most intestinal & digestive issues, joint inflammation, skin disorders, snoring & insomnia are easily cured with nutrition.

Super charges your bodies natural immune system & cancer defense.

What are you on?
40 days on super foods such as greens, beans, mushrooms, berries & seeds to name a few of the best & you can be free.

Before anyone asks it won't cure baldness.

I quit the rogain a few years back, at this rate I'll be bald by 70
(If anyone wants rogain pm me. I have a bunch, unopened. Expensive stuff that I will no longer use. Yours for the asking)

I'll still be too sexy for my hat though.

still working hard 5-6 days a week & try to maintain a vigorous sex life. Beyond that no exercise.

On that note I highly recommend NO PORN!
You can be free!
(Too preachy?)

As for the axe I'm grinding, I don't know, even Bill Maher this past Friday voiced concern on the clot shot big pharma agenda.
Is he a Q-Tard now?

Also, you can use a fleshlight... might get expensive if you only want virgin ones.

Beware the open box.

If you're not worried about virginity and such, you can probably snag a used fleshlight on ebay for pretty cheap.

I don't like needles. I cringe, grit my teeth, and look away when they draw blood on routine physicals. I close my eyes when a TV show or movie has a scene where IVs are inserted. I don't think I'd ever be able to be an addict where needles are involved.

If that makes me an antivaxer than guilty as charged.

I admitted not liking (some may even qualify it as a phobia) needles. That has no bearing on my opinion or stance on vaccines be it this recent concoction, past vaccines, or future vaccines. Past and common vaccines, I'm more comfortable with because they have a decades of data to support them to be overall safe and effective. Two key words.

FDA approval or not, I wouldn't qualify the Rona one as it stands as an effective vaccine. If you need a booster every 8 months to "protect" you from the latest version of the bug, I wouldn't say it's very effective. Safety factor is still TDB, we have less than one year's of data on this thing.

If you get the shot, you can still catch the affliction.
If you get the shot, you can still be contagious and pass on the affliction.

That doesn't sound like a very effective vaccine to me. Sounds like they are just trying to hit a moving target and making it up as they go along. Again, safety and long term effects are TBD. Fact, not opinion. First vaccine of it's type using technology that hasn't made it out of the R&D labs until recently when we pushed it for wide spread use. Fact, not opinion. Hey, "in for a penny in for a pound... full steam ahead!"

If you had the mumps vaccine (for example), does it wear out and we need re-inject everyone every 6 months? Every year? Studies have this vaccine providing immunity for like 15 to 50 years, around 30 on average. Sounds pretty effective. Do we worry about those vaccinated from mumps passing it on to folks not vaccinated from the mumps or passing it on to those who are vaccinated from the mumps? Nope. Would I worry about getting a mumps vaccine if needed. Nope.

The common flu vaccine - it's FDA approved but I don't think it's effective. Another shot is offered every year for the best guess on which strain. Historical data puts it at about 50% effective, on average, since they have been tracking it. It's a coin flip. Vegas wouldn't even open a betting window on those odds. I don't get the yearly flu vaccine because I don't think it's effective.

Hep vaccine - it's FDA approved. 2 or 3 series of shots on a schedule with a few months between each shot. Then after that 10ish years immunity, but most likely lifetime. That sounds pretty effective. If you are in a job where you are more prone to be exposed to Hep (medical field and such), you probably want to keep up on any boosters. I'm OK with that but I'm not high risk for catching Hep so I haven't signed up to get inoculated. If I was in a situation or a job where I would need it, I wouldn't have issues with doing so.

The difference is if aspirin makes you grow a third ear or causes your immune system to fail, you can sue the manufacturer. I'd be inclined to consider it safe when the manufacturer stands behind their product. Sure I know that was part of the agreement to make the vaccine in a very fast manner. That said the vaccine is not to the same standard as prior approved drugs.

As approved as aspirin... yeah. They are one in the same. I thought you claimed to be an engineer and sciency and stuff.

Aspirin has a rather long history of what it does and what to expect from it's use (it's been around for like a 130 years). Rona vaccine is less than a year old with virtually no history of what to expect from it's use. You're comparing tennis balls to rocket ships. Not even close to being in the same category.

If you can't understand the difference and think they are equivalent then I suggest you ask for a rebate on whatever engineering degree you paid for.

Shouldn't be a major factor but giving the makers, suppliers, and the government a free pass on liability kinda eliminates any risk on their end. All reward with no risk. If there is little or no risk for accountability of their actions, then what happens if $hit hits the fan?

Individuals are left holding the bag and have to live (or die) with any side effects and ramifications with no recourse. Makers, suppliers, and government skate free.

I agree, the whole thing stinks.

The Suspicious FDA "approval" of the Pfizer Vaccine

Quote:
On Monday, the FDA “approved” the Pfizer COVID-19 (which will be marketed as COMIRNATY) “for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older.”

If you want an “approved” dose of COMIRNATY – too bad. It’s not yet available. You can still get the Pfizer Vaccine authorized under the Emergency Use Authorization, however. Much has been discussed about whether this is a real “approval” – and I won’t repeat that. I’ll walk through the source documents and data, showing just how weak this purported approval really is.

The Effectiveness is “unknown.”

The FDA says COMIRNATY is “safe and effective in preventing COVID-19 in individuals 16 years of age and older.” How effective? They state (~6 months after dose 2) that it is “91% effective in preventing COVID-19 disease,” citing to a study where Pfizer observed “77 cases of COVID-19 occurring in the vaccine group.”

This leaves us with an important question. The Pfizer study is from a “follow-up through March 13, 2021.” That is over 5 months ago. Is the FDA using outdated data in support of the COMIRNATY approval?

In other words, how long does the effectiveness really last?

Pfizer has an answer for us. According to its August 23, 2021 fact sheet, “The duration of protection against COVID-19 is currently unknown.”

Yep. Read up some on soveriegn immunity in general and vaccine laws over the last few decades.

Vaccine manufacturers have had partial to complete immunity for decades.
