Absolutely!

While we should always remember the event and the lives lost, we have, unfortunately, forgotten the unity we had as a country immediately following that day.

Just made a bunch of salsa verde from 4lbs of tomatillo from the garden.

A recent Frontline special goes through the series of missteps and related unintended consequences with it all.

Starts on the steps of the capitol, libs and cons singing God Bless American together.
Those same steps, 20 years later, being overrun by the insurrectionists.

Rough but necessary to watch (for me anyway).

Mission accomplished, progressive just twisting the knife. To keep you in the hate mold, the propaganda of wokeness. Cause they just can't give up, their on seek and destroy anything that disagreell with them. Perpetrators of Myths, must be getting desperate.

911 but they hate GOD, to the lies and cover ups on 1/6 the insurrectionist were invited to come, as instigator, like they did all summer. After the after election fraud, they thought they were gods and could do anything they wanted.

Still doing it now also, so the ❄️ won't melt!

I know, I am wild and crazy...

I bought a few of the wifi bulbs since we are trying to teach my four year old to go to the damn bathroom by herself in the middle of the night and I wanted some red lights on a schedule so she could see at night but not kill her vision or wake her up too much. Wife and I are getting really tired of multiple wake-up in the middle of the night. Now, after 10pm, my house looks like the sonar room on a sub with all the lights red... I had one bulb left over, hence the patio light I am toying with.

When Reagan was being rushed to surgery he asked the surgeon: "Are you a Republican?"

The surgeon replied: "Mr. President, today we are all Republicans."

Funny, but very, very, true that day. Can't say the country would feel the same today if it were Bush2, Obama, Trump or Biden, although it seems we are much more accepting of Bush2 now than we were in the past and during his presidency...

Leeds Liverpool.

Hey rfenst.
With all of your extensive bike riding, what did you do when.... um... you spent so much time on the bike, one of you "boys" started to hurt?

No significant swelling. hard to believe 4 hours a week can be causing it, but probably is.

Have all of the professional bike riders been castrated?

Your seat needs to be adjusted to the right height and downward level A good seat position will leave you able to lean against the seat, but not sit on it too much. Gets the legs in real good shape! And, you should be wearing riding pants with a sewn in crotch pad with out underpants. Way worth the money.

Have you taken your bike inside a good bike store that sells the general kind of bike you ride yet? The seat fitting should be totally free.

And, if you don't buy a set of pedal clips or new pedals with lock in shoes (like a ski binding) I am just going to have to find and send you a pair of toe clips (even though riding shoes with lock in clips are much better). They are cheap (less than $20/pair) and will make your ride much better since you will be using additional leg muscles.

Send me your snailer and I will do you right!

Final full day in Houston. Wife and boy keep asking what I want to do. I reply "drink beer and smoke cigars."

The wife doesn't appear to like this answer. I wonder why she continues to ask. Perhaps she's envisioning a more "correct" answer, but this one seems perfect IMO

Trans went out in the Ram.

Coming down 196 in Michigan cruise set at 64 and came to a hill. It always drops a gear quickly when im towing and come to a hill but it didn't, and my speed was going down. Then it downshifted twice, spun up to almost 6krpm and violently shifted back up to 4th and was just chugging the rest of the way up that hill.

I ignored it at first but then I realized it's not shifting at all. Switched to manual mode. I can select 1st and 4th, nothing else. No check engine light no warning lights, trans temp about 170. Drove the rest of the highway run in 4th gear around 3krpm 60mph. In traffic it was damn near impossible to speed up cause it was just locked in 4th.

Got off the highway, it shifted to 1st. Good. But it won't stay in first past 2krpm. Shifts 1st-4th at 2k. Then it's a good minute to get up to speed.

This truck is so fvcking bad. When it works I love it. But I can't trust it to go anywhere and do truck things. At least it's still under warranty. The day that expires I definitely do not want to have it anymore.

Mine went in early. Just crossed 60k on this trip. Had it in at the dealership last weds for 60k service whatever that means. Had a coupon for $80 and included oil change so they played with it for an hour and a half and said all good.

I assume it's unrelated but electrical gremlins tend to be related, my truck started locking its doors and flashing lights/honking like I hit the lock button twice on the keyfob. Couple weeks ago I started finding my truck locked in the driveway. I never lock doors at home. Then I heard it honk occasionally, I assumed I was hitting the buttons in my pocket. But in Michigan I got woken up from a truck beeping and flashing lights through my window. It was my truck. I took the battery out of the keyfob but it kept doing it. I had to disconnect the battery Friday night. Once I reconnected it on Saturday it was fine. Ran to town and refueled for the return trip, while I was putting gas in I heard the locks engage and the truck honked. Had to pull the key outta the fob to unlock it.

Should've sold it back in June. Still can't replace it tho...

I don't know what they did beyond the oil change and "60k service and inspection" It's probably on the receipt that I used to start a campfire on Friday. For $80 I doubt they did anything with the trans beyond checking fluid level.

It's a known issue at least with the diesels. Dunno if the transmissions are shared. Looking around online looks like it typically clears and works fine if you turn the truck off and then on again. I haven't tried that yet, I'm enjoying sitting in my air conditioned house after 5 days without AC. Kinda... I did fire up the generator last night to run the AC but otherwise just ran on 12v/solar.

Truck's still under warranty, so I'm not gonna mess with it. Just bring it back to the dealer. Again.

Raised the seat, it is even, maybe slightly tipped up in the front. Will adjust that.

Bought some bicycle shorts- wear them more often than I don't. Wonder is I am wearing the wrong size. Bought xxl and an 6'2" 205. Feels like I'm walking around with a dump in my pants in the back, while being snug in the thighs.

There is a reputable bike store nearby. Feel a bit like a moron needing a seat fitting.

Got explain my aversion to the whole pedal clips, biking shoes, locks etc, other than I simply want to pedal a bike, burn some fat, alive my heart some love, and strengthen lungs so I can smoke more cigars.

Job One now is eliminating the discomfort and swelling.

See? Exercise is stupid. Joggers blow out their ankles and knees. Riding bike hurts the scrote.

Should just sit on my skinny ass, make it fat, and say Fuq It.

Good health is not free, get your azz fit for your bike. ( so swallow your pride before you take the real fall and have to lose your balls. ) Mister Know-It-All comfortable with function always wear the biking pants 🩳 only when riding, never for just walking around, wash and dry immediately after the ride and let him dry. (gel pants are the best).

If not, serve you right for suffer, just looking for a excuse to quit!!!

Rough seas and high winds today. I still managed to hook a good sized yellowfin tuna, but a mutha fuggin' sea lion stole it.

I'll never buy a GM product ever again in my life. Back in 2001, 2003(?) bought a bare bones Silverado 1500 pickup new. Problems right away and the dealer fixed it. Had about 3 recall things on it then after about 50k miles, I had more serious problems with it. Clutch, tanny, oxygen sensors, parking brakes, power steering pump, 4WD stopped engaging... I swear the thing was built by hungover union workers the Monday after Superbowl Sunday.

GM refused to do anything about it. I ditched with about 75k miles on it for pennies on the dollar for a trade in. Was happy to get rid of that POS.

I wish the truck guys would still offer a manual transmission. It would solve so many of my problems. My old Dakota had a manual and while it had its faults, not much went bad/broke. I had 288k on the clock when I scrapped it. Blew the rear end out and had to do a junkyard axle swap, but that was my fault - I was playing drift driver and roasting the tires the day before my appointment to get new ones.

I'd much rather have a manual than an automatic. Transmissions have been my #1 problem in my last 3 trucks.

They don’t make any mass produced manual transmission vehicles?
Some innovative company should go all retro and create a line of manuals.
Guess the idea of only 10% of people know how to drive one and are all over 50 should put the kibosh to that.

Same. Cars too for that matter. There's a couple mid size trucks you can still get manual, but think you're SOL for full sized
