I'm looking for a replacement series.

My wife and I have burned through all 7 seasons of Bosch, thank you very much, I heard about it here, not sure about the first member to have mentioned the show, but thank you very much, we enjoyed the show. Having been born in a San Fernando hospital and lived many years in LA county it was somewhat nostalgic. FWIW, the only tick I was ever given that I did not fully earn was from an LA motorcycle cop, but I digress.

We also watched all seasons of the British, Midsomer Murders.

We started watching Longmire and it's OK.

These are what I've found so far, please comment on or add to the list.

The Shield

Ray Donovan

Mind Hunters

The Killing

Chrome (Hulu)

Southland

Fargo Series

The Bridge

Justified (Hulu)

Terriers

Hannibal (Hulu)

The Wire

Better Call Saul

The Missing

Breaking bad

The Fall

Broadchurch

Broadchurch (Contemporary version)

I haven't watched all of Justified, but what shows I did see were entertaining.

Haven't seen Bosch, but all 7 seasons are free on Prime... something I should see?

We liked it, it's a story so there are multiple major lifetime events packed into one guy's story, but ignoring that, it's good. You might be appealed at the depiction of the LA police and city politics, unfortunately, much more reality than fiction. If they have a sequel I'm in.

Gene, here is my take:

The Shield - Fun, the way cops secretly wish police work really was

Ray Donovan - Great show, three thumbs up

Mind Hunters - Amazing, wish there were more seasons

Justified (Hulu) - Fun, based on an Elmore Leonard character

The Wire - One of my top 5 favorite series. The way police work really is (unlike The Shield). I would borrow a thumb to give this one more thumbs up

Better Call Saul - Fun, watch it before/after watching Breaking Bad

Breaking bad - Top 5 all time series IMO

The Shield is an all timer for me, but in the context of what the show was when it came out. I’d say now it’s not going to have the *wow* factor it did then IMO. ^ he’s accurate too.

Ray Donovan good show

Justified great show

Hannibal was an amazing show, ahead of its time in cinematography and some of the visual imagination . Look into the making and the budget NBC gave them it was minuscule compared to other shows. They made a huge mistake (and I’ll leave it at that).

The Wire another all timer. Great storylines and great acting.

Better Call Saul I never got into and I liked Breaking Bad a lot.

Some good input so far. I’d add “Hell on Wheels” to your list.

Also check out City Homicide, an aussie series that is not to bad. Sorry, but I don't remember if it is Netflix or Prime.

There was only so much Timothy Harris wrote about Hannibal Lecter. Loved the show as well. I've heard they want to bring it back for more though...what it would contain would be a mystery.

We also watched Weeds on DVDs, it was very good, in spite of the rather dark ending, but drugs so it was appropriate.

Started watching it, but drifted away. They've shot a handful of shows/scenes this past year or so here in my neck of the woods, some just a couple miles away some a few towns over. Had a swarm of lackies come into WalMart to grab a bunch of carts of groceries and random stuff. Was kinda odd.

Periodically the town closed off some roads for their shoots. Some locals were intrigued, others irritated for the minor disruption.

Watching filming is boring with a capital B. Take after take of the same thing from different angles/distance/lighting. They used to shoot some movie and TV footage at San Gabriel Dam when I was a dam operator. They usually had great food, a crapton of people and they could make a dirt parking area into a Swiss outside cafe.

We finished Bosch and Longmire, both series kind of ended abruptly.

We are not two episodes into Goliath, pretty good so far.

After checking the cost to view Breaking Bad, I ordered the DVDs along with the WWII series, The Pacific and Hacksaw Ridge for "free" shipping.

Goliath was good. Went through the whole thing, I'd watch it again.
Breaking Bad is classic. Another one I'd watch again. I have the whole series on my media server.

I haven't locked into anything new lately. Started watching M*A*S*H series this past couple of weeks on Hulu. Charles Emerson Winchester just entered the picture after Burns' mental breakdown while on leave in Seoul.

Breaking Bad is my all time favorite.
Prior to that, The Shield was my all time fave.
Justified is right up there too.

In all if them, the casting is phenomenal.

Go the Breaking Bad DVDs, but right now we've been watching the British Doc Martin series.
