No.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Yes.

Not any population here at all in Central Florida that I know of. A problem in South Florida where pet iguannas either escaped or were intentionally released (like lionfish) and have now taken over. No natural enemies. Not aggressive or poisonous. Vegetarian, I think. I have never heard of iguanas being a food source. You could probably succeed at hunting even the largest of them with a .22, but I don't know if they are protected, although I doubt it since they are non-native and considered a nuisance. Nothing to worry about.

Most of the “hunting” I’ve seen has been pellet guns.

I’ve seen VERY mixed opinions on the taste.

Florida has a few species that are invasive that have been a problem:
Iguanas
Lion fish
Boa snakes
Out of state transplant retirees.

They're pretty popular in the fallout universe. Fry 'em and put 'em on a stick... they taste like anything else fried and put on a stick.

If it's tourist season why can't you just shoot them?

Heard something about them freezing overnight, dropping out of trees, and then coming back to life.

It is like bad Sci-Fi.

Nah, Guy Fieri will just take one, batter it with corn flakes and habanero powder, deep fry it whole, jam lit sparklers in it's eye sockets, serve it with a side of gravy cheese fries and a bud light you can wring out of a Hawaiian shirt. Off the chain!

I’m fine with that as long as he doesn’t go north.

If you annoy iguanas, they will bite. They will run away if they have a chance, tho. I think Hockey Dad knows how to cook them.

You can skin them and make jackets and boots out of them. Now that's some styling and profiling, so get your freak on. Just saying they dew it with alligator.

Night of the Iguana...oldest sister dragged me to see it with her in 1964...she was a Richard Burton fan....I was smitten by Ava Gardner...unbeknownst at the time as I was only 11, prolly my very first MILF.... about some Americans romping in Mexico...

25 years later, while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, we stumbled across the place in the harbor where the movie was shot, and there were several street vendors with huge iguanas, some as long as 5 feet, offering to take Polaroids for a few bucks
