Listened to J. Rogan interview with Jewel. Nearly unbelievable what true adversity show made it through and her mindset and how she processes things and stays grounded.

One of the best interviews I’ve heard-at least the first half. Second half tomorrow.

Weird... I watched the same interview today.

I honestly think insurance companies made healthcare so much more expensive.

And many places do totally unnecessary stuff to charge more... and you don't care because the insurance company is paying for it, right?

Look at a medical bill some time and see what they charge. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Dental "groups" are the worst.

It’s worse than you would believe. Four years in the health insurance industry and seven years working for a clinic system. Know where a lot of the bodies are buried. They still get money out of people who shouldn’t have to pay.

Recent example:
Had a complete physical couple months back. Whether you like, loathe or are indifferent about Obamacare, free yearly physicals and accompanying routine lab work is to be 100% free.

Got a bill for $76. When challenged, they said a doctor put a diagnosis code (meaning it ceases to be Routine) so I need to pay it. Explained that was incorrect.

2 phone calls working with four different people and each them playing the Not IT! Game.

Choices now include.
-Keep calling ( have two hours of on phone time logged).
-Pay it.
-Have it go to Collections and have it damage my credit.

Infuriating.

Hell, 8track, even the God-forsaken veterinarians are in on this sh*t!

Tank's last visit they wanted to do xrays and a culture for a puncture wound that wasn't infected or bleeding. $250 for xrays... XRAYS! For a Gosh Darn puncture wound! And they wanted another $136 to do a "culture" on a wound that wasn't infected!!

So I said, nix the frankin' xrays, and give him a broad spectrum antibiotic after ya stitch him up. They did... and I saved myself $386 in TOTALLY unnecessary sh*t they tried to add on. C'MON, MAN!

Don't get me started on the dental groups... they have a broad they send in after the initial exam to try to "upsell" you on every frankin' part of your services.

I found a private dentist, explained to her exactly why I dropped dental insurance and pay cash as I go, and she has agreed that the "groups" are frankin' shysters.

I brush twice a day, floss after meals, and get a cleaning every 6-12 months.

Wife has dental insurance through work and her dentist is a shyster, too.

Free? Absolutely not, included in the cost of insurance, absolutely.

I don't want to crap this thread up with politics, but when someone says something the coasts money/labor is free, it just is not true.

Coulda saved even more. Get some "Fish Mox". Pure powdered Amoxicillin in capsule form for fish tanks. Cheap as hell from any good pet store or online. There are all kinds of GOOD charts online about dosages for animals. Anytime one of my animals gets a cut or something, I just sprinkle some on their food for a few days and they are right as rain

I had him banned due to his piss-poor attitude.
Things have improved enough that I’ve allowed him back on a probationary status.
I’m confident things are gonna work out…

Anybody wanna help? I got lotsa beer... Beer

And it really isn't that bad. Just a handful of shelves that need to be emptied of the crap we haven't used in years.

Pffft... 8track the gad damn slacker.

Walked the dog the customary 4 miles at 7am. Dumpster got delivered shortly after noon and I filled that mother franker in less than 2 hours... and I was so gat durned focused I only had 2 beers during the whole evolution.

Tank sat in the front yard and watched me work... so I wouldn't have to hear him bitching from the back yard.

Closed it. Locked it. New one coming Monday. Still got sh*t in the garage that needs to go... man cave closet... linen closet... and downstairs closet.

After we dump a few tons of shiite... it'll be time to revisit the "Let's get the Frank outa CA" discussion. Baby steps.

Good Saturday Morning! It's 59° on the way to 67°, it's clear and raining today... raining leaves and oak acorns. The deer are so happy they are not eating the corn my neighbor put out for them.

Varnishing a repaired cabinet and getting the wife some new windshield wipers for the aforementioned sleeting. Turned them on last night and then proceeded to question Mrs. Beach's failure to let me know she couldn't see chit when it was raining. Said she didn't notice. I'm now questioning Mrs. Beach's ability to see chit period
