Biden's BUILD BACK BALONEY

Ivy League Analysis Destroys Biden’s Entire Argument for Multi-Trillion-Dollar ‘Build Back Better’ Spending Plans

The president argues that his plan to spend trillions will create jobs, grow the economy, and increase wages—all without adding to the national debt.

Saturday, November 6, 2021

Quote:
President Biden continues to fight to pass some version of his multi-trillion-dollar “Build Back Better” spending agenda through Congress. In its various iterations, the plan includes trillions spent on everything from electric vehicle tax credits and green energy subsidies to taxpayer-funded childcare-for-all to housing subsidies and more. The Biden administration claims that the latest version would involve $1.85 trillion in new spending.

The president has made lofty promises about what we’d get in exchange for such a historic investment. (After all, that price tag is more than the inflation-adjusted cost of FDR’s New Deal!)

“[This is] a framework that will create millions of jobs, grow the economy, invest in our nation and our people, turn the climate crisis into an opportunity, and put us on a path not only to compete, but to win the economic competition for the 21st century against China and every other major country in the world,” Biden said in a recent speech. “It’s fiscally responsible. It’s fully paid for.”

“For much too long, the working people of this nation and the middle class of this country have been dealt out of the American deal, and it’s time to deal them back in,” he continued. “If we make these investments, there will be no stopping the American people or America. We will own the future.”

Simply put, Biden argues that his plan to spend trillions will create jobs, grow the economy, and increase wages—all without adding to the $28.9 trillion (and counting) national debt. Yet a new Ivy League economic analysis undercuts every single one of these claims.

Yep, if you hadn't guessed already, not only is the entire economic argument for the Build Back Better Act a lie, but it is also racist.

“Even provisions that don’t explicitly exclude whites, turn out, on closer examination, to exclude whites.”

I Read Biden’s Build Back Better Plan and…Oh, My God

Ann Coulter

Quote:
The White House’s official press release announcing the Build Back Better Act (BBB) pitches it as a “PLAN TO REBUILD THE MIDDLE CLASS.” It rhapsodizes about “working families” squeezed by the economy, and reminds voters that “Biden promised to rebuild the backbone of the country — the middle class.”

A cartoon illustrates the sort of person who would benefit from Biden’s Build Back Better programs: “Linda,” a white woman, who works at a manufacturing plant but struggles to raise her son, “Leo.”

One thing the White House’s official press release did not mention is that almost all of the $2 trillion doled out under BBB is expressly designated for Black, Latino, Native American, Asian American, Pacific Islander and non-English speaking individuals. White Americans will get nothing and like it.

Musk goes full-bore libertarian against the regime!

Elon Musk calls for Congress to throw out Biden's entire Build Back Better bill: 'Don't pass it'

Musk argued that the federal government should "get out of the way and not impede progress," emphasizing that the government ought be a "referee" rather than a "player on the field."

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said Congress should "can" President Joe Biden's multitrillion dollar Build B
Back Better Act, which Democrats are seeking to pass with budget reconciliation to avoid relying on votes from Republicans.

"Honestly, I would just can this whole bill," said Musk, ranked number two on the 2021 Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest Americans. "Don't pass it. That's my recommendation."

Musk argued that the federal government should "get out of the way and not impede progress," emphasizing that the government ought to be a "referee" rather than a "player on the field."

"Rules and regulations are immortal," Musk said at the Wall Street Journal's CEO Council event on Thursday evening. "They don't die. The vast majority of rules and regulations live forever ... there's not really an effective garbage collection system for removing rules and regulations, so this hardens the arteries of civilization where you are able to do less and less over time."

Biden's budget bill includes $7,500 subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles. It also includes an additional $4,500 for the purchase of union-made electric vehicles, which would exclude the nonunion Tesla.

Musk mentioned the subsidies during his critique of the legislation. He said that there have not been any federal tax subsidies for the purchase of Tesla vehicles during the past two years.

The moderator noted that the bill includes funding for expanding the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the U.S. In response, Musk said he still thinks the bill should be thrown out.

"Unnecessary," he said. "Do we need support for gas stations? We don't. I'm literally saying get rid of all subsidies."

Musk warned that the nation's record $3 trillion deficit could lead to negative consequences.

"If this was a company, it would be a $3 trillion loss," he said, addressing the federal government's level of spending. "This can't keep going."

Musk said the U.S. government could "delete" all billionaires and still not be able to fix the deficit. Musk warned that the nation's record $3 trillion deficit could lead to negative consequences.

"The government is simply the biggest corporation, with a monopoly on violence and where you have no recourse," he said. "It's the only one that's allowed to legally do violence."

I still refer to them as the government at all levels but counterfeiting is a function of the top level.

Collectively they are governing the Frank out of me. I’ve never been less free.

That's a very libertarian thing to say Spey, you must be turning into an EXTREMIST!

Just as Musk is sounding more like Rothbard, In "Anatomy of the State," Murray Rothbard defines the state as "that organization in society which attempts to maintain a monopoly of the use of force and violence in a given territorial area; in particular, it is the only organization in society that obtains its revenue not by voluntary contribution or payment for services rendered but by coercion" (p. 11)

Nah, IJDGAF. Governance of a country is necessary, but government is evil.

Oooh! Those are some big words, Ray, especially since they basically came from a Fed Chair, years ago. Remember? You hate the Fed.

Exactly, that's why I borrowed the phrase "irrational exuberance".
Who creates more irrational exuberance than the FED since only they through inflation by way of money printing and artificially low-interest rates could create irrationally high asset class prices, the artificial boom before the inevitable bust.
It's all part of the Austrian Theory of the Business Cycle.

'Not Free?' - CBO Reveals Biden's "Build Back Better" Plan Could Cost Over $3 Trillion

Quote:
A month ago, we exposed the 'gimmicks' that Democrats were using to attempt to defend their narrative that this massive social-spending 'Build Back Better' plan was "deficit-neutral."

Citing provisions to offset the spending, Biden has repeatedly claimed that the bill is “going to cost nothing.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has trotted out this argument with great confidence.

"It's not about a dollar amount,” she told reporters.

“The dollar amount, as the president said, is zero. This bill will be paid for.”

And White House chief of staff Ron Klain also shamelessly proclaims:

“the net cost of Build Back Better is zero."

And sympathetic journalists have picked up the mantra.

Turns out... that's just not true!

It's all a bunch of bullchit premised on what Manchin called "budget gimmicks... and shell games." In fact, as CNBC's Ylan Mui previously noted, "their strategy is to start as many new projects as possible and then build public support around them."

If a politician is talking they are lying. But I digress. There is to much additional welfare not called welfare in this package. Unless the philibuster is eliminated it will never be voted on in the Senate. Even if it were to be voted on in the senate some Democrats would vote against it. This will not become law. Nor should it.
