Up too late last night with good people for the soul.
Up early with Leicester City v Chelsea (already an 0-2 beating in the first 25 minutes).
Texas Bloody Mary with Jalapeño olives might be a bit much, but that Houston based riverboat has now sailed.

Morning, peoples

Boy got in last night. His golf habit has gotten more serious than I realized. Should get up to 40 by the time we tee off. The things I do for quality time. *sigh*

I will be joining you shortly. Dog walk complete, a little yard work before settling in for a day of American football.

Day two of the Goodguys show and autocross. Little Al and Robbie Unser are heading up the qualifying so far with two cars. Couple of Nascar drivers are close. Mega bucks operations like Summit have multiple cars running. I'm not running this year so they have nothing to fear.

It did make the walk a bit sillier, which I thing my wife enjoyed.
Saw just the tail of a fox scampering across the trail in the woods. Then it struck me- gun deer hunting season started this morning. Whoooops.

Home again. Coffee, footie and probably a little nap.

American collegiate football will get some attention today as well.

Hey ๐ŸŒ„. I am surprised how fast skiing is coming back to me. 40 year old muscle memory? This weekend is intermediate lessons. We are having a great time.

I was torn between watching Ohio Sate vs Michigan State or skiing, but skiing won out, though I am DVRing the game.

Thanksgiving dinner plans are now set.

Since my wife didnโ€™t want to cook, despite me volunteering to do the turkey again, she decided to purchase a 4-course Thanksgiving dinner from a well-known place, Chef Chaiโ€™s.

Appetizer - Naked Jumbo Black Tiger Prawns made with a Lemongrass Garlic Vinaigrette
Soup - Roasted Kabocha Pumpkin and Lobster Bisque
Entree - Roasted Turkey with Thai Sticky Rice, chestnut stuffing, giblet gravy, young French long beans, baby carrot and cranberry apricot chutney
Dessert - Chocolate cake with pumpkins mousse and French berries.

Daughter is gonna make mashed potatoes, SIL doing his Green Bean Casserole
Son is bringing fresh poke and Hamachi for sashimi
Wife is gonna make cranberry jello and pumpkin crunch for dessert

Me? I forked out my AMEX card (โ€ฆwife said sheโ€™d pay for half thoughโ€ฆ).

On the bright side, I guess I can watch football all day without having to worry about a bird in the oven.

Iโ€™m not sure what most of those words are. But it sounds pricey and happy I donโ€™t have to pay for it.

Iโ€™mma little leery about a couple of those dishes too. Gonz

Just hoping the prawns still taste like shrimp and the turkey like turkey. Weโ€™ve never eaten anything by Chai but heโ€™s been in Hawaii for close to 30 years so kinda excited to finally try his cooking.

And yah, when my wife told me the price, I was kinda taken aback. Ainโ€™t exactly overjoyed in paying that much but glad itโ€™s โ€œonlyโ€ gonna be half.

Aren't shoes optional in Hawaii? I picture it as a barefoot, flip flop, sandals, type of place.

I'd love to visit there but a 15-20 hr flight/travel time would drive me crazy. If we could just invent some way to be teleported there... or sedate me for a 20 hr nap.

One more day of overtime, working a "short" day of 12 hours tomorrow overnight then vacation for a week. The last 3 weeks have all been 12-16 hour days. It's gonna feel good to be off for a week.

Got two follow up Dr. visits Monday and Tues. Neurologist on Mon for a follow up on latest round of brain scans to see if I have a brain. No known seizures or "loss of time" episodes for over a year so hopefully I'm out of the woods and the low dose of epilepsy meds are doing their job. We'll see what the Doc says after reviewing the latest test results.

Tues is routine yearly physical that was rescheduled from last month. Prolly get the finger probe.

Hurray me... get a check up from the neck up on Monday, then a check up with a finger probe down there on Tues to see if maybe my brain migrated to my exit point.

Uno tree NINE!

Only wore shoes when I had to. Work, church, weddings, funerals, sports and a few other exceptions. Otherwise, Crocs or Locals brand rubber slippers. No shoes in the house unless they're brand new and never worn outside.

Long azz flight? Maybe make a detour stop along the way? Las Vegas for a couple of days to and from Hawaii?

Planning on a mid January trip back to Sonie. Post Christmas holiday after the holiday passes. Waiting for all the glut of holiday travels to pass then everyone descend into Green Bay and do a post Christmas holiday there.

Mom, pop, brother, sister are local (Green Bay or within a 45 min away from there). Nieces, nephews are scattered around regionally in the area but some are in the Twin Cities.

Vegas then a hop to Hawaii sounds enticing. No disrespect but I'd rather chill out for a week and hang out with the family in Cheeseland.

The expensive brown water maker died this morning.
This is the brown water maker we bought 90 days ago to replace the expensive brown water maker that died after 6 months.
Wife like the look, speed and lack of mess the Kreurig supplies. But when it doesn't actually make coffee, it is nothing but a $100, stainless steel, paperweight.
