NewB here! Nice to meet yall. Only recently decided to seriously explore the world of cigar tobacco. So far I have found I enjoy most the leathery flavors and textures I experience in some of my cigars. As a result my favorites are the Padron 1926 and the RP Vinatge 1992, taste like I'm chewing on my baseball glove out in right field!

What would you say is your favorite flavor you find in your cigar smoke?

Put you in right field did they? My favorite is Cuban twang.

^^^ This! ^^^

And despite what you might read, imo, there aren’t any non-Cuban “Cubanesque” cigars that accurately replicate that twang. Many have tried but all have failed.

some cigars, very few, have a complex brothy flavor that is my fave...

Like Cuban twang it is nearly indescribable, but you know it when you sense it...

it's a perfect (imho) aromatic mixture of cereal, hay, dried fruit, veggies and spice that combines into a sensory experience in my sinuses, which is where my "taste buds" are for the the nuanced flavors of cigar smoke...it's only found when I retrohale smoke to send it pass my sinuses...

I got some punch super selection no. 2 from 1996. Only smoked 1. I'll look for the twang!

Enjoyed an EZ Fried Chicken Extra crispy earlier
Could've called it Baseball glove Catchers mitt
Halfway through, the leather notes began to elevate. A dark sweetness like a freezer burnt chocolate milkshake. Subtle hints of clove and cinnamon tingle the tongue. Spanish cedar lingers on finish.

I do like a chocolate salted Carmel raisin pudding with a floral finish though

I tried to smoke yesterday but decided 32* was too cold. Maybe this will just be a fair weathered thing

Any sweet flavor, coffee, leather. I also enjoy the occasional pepper heat but not overboard. It at least needs to be well balanced with a sweet flavor.

Anyone else curious about the Stillwell cigars Saka is blending out of JdN factory

I think it's 5 different pipe baccy blends
Haven't smoked a pipe since I was a kid I think I liked the Cavendish but
Which one do you want a box of?

I gambled on the Aromatic no.1 but got a 5er of all of em

Pricey novelty I know but Saka hasn't steered me wrong yet

I'd say ditto. Not overly sweet as in infused or non tobacco additions.

Flavors in cigars, for me, are difficult to describe. I like coffee, dark chocolate, creamy on the tongue. Some spice or pepper too, although not all of them in the same cigar (not sure pepper and chocolate go together). A turn off for me is any overpowering "floral tastes" that you can get in the back of your throat that I've had in some blends.

(sounds like an excerpt from a ghey Penthouse letter or something)
