Are you comments directed at Trump supporters or people of color?

Last I heard, the majority of blacks nor hispanics were keen on getting the vaccine.

Anyone drilled down on the left to check these numbers? Off course not.

did you hear from the majority or just the loud ones?

Of Americans surveyed from Sept. 13-22, 72% of adults 18 and older had been vaccinated, including 71% of white Americans, 70% of Black Americans, and 73% of Hispanics. Contrast these converging figures with disparities based on politics: 90% of Democrats had been vaccinated, compared with 68% of Independents and just 58% of Republicans.

There you go trying to make this political again... I don't subscribe to your "my tribe vs. your tribe" mentality.

Instead, I see this virus as the "little" picture. The symptom, not the disease.

The disease is government overreach. It is one of the worst, under the radar threats to our freedoms.

Today, it's a mandate that you wear a mask and get a brand new drug injected (and we cant see the testing data).

Tomorrow, the federal government decides there will be no 1% or 2% milk, since obesity kills 300K per year in the US and 20+ million/yr globally.

Once everyone is OK with that, it will progress to other over-reaches forcing you to to do/take things the government has no business mandating.

How about a "mandated" stomach stapling if your BMI is in the morbidly-obese category?

Ever wonder why the federal government has never had a flu vaccine mandate? Flu kills 60-80K people each year in the US and most people are not concerned about the safety of the flu vaccine. Why no mandate? Because it's unconstitutional. Just like the current mandates. That;s why states keep looking for reasons to extend their "Emergency Delarations", it allows them to continue being monarchs without the pesky "checks and balances" getting in the way.

Americans can choose, even if you think their choice is the wrong one. They likely think yours is wrong.

Interesting….

When I got the ‘Rona shot I don’t recall them gathering information on my political affiliation. They gathered a lot of other information including my insurance who was charged for the free shot.

You might want to read these cases:

Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11 (1905)
Zucht v. King, 260 U.S. 174 (1922)

And, many, many others from all 50 states.

Also, here is one good law article (there are others) on vaccines and social policy, which comes to a conclusion you might not like, but which thoroughly discusses the different sides' views:

it's only tribal and politicized when libs are making the case...

there have been many more conservative commentators than libs who have been banned from various social media platforms for spreading misinformation, disinformation and lunatic conspiracy theories...even right wing media have fired their own reporters for spreading false pandemic info

https://www.thewrap.com/newsmax-drops-antivax-reporter-and-conspiracy-theorist-emerald-robinson/

chief culprit for passing on false info is 45, who owns the credit for most fake news put out about the pandemic worldwide...

I can see where some on the right did not see this coming, or stand in denial of it now. It’s incredible to be that GOP leaders would sell anti-vax ideas - they had to know their constituents would suffer. Literally suffer.

The part that twists my brain the most is selling the idea that not getting vaxed is in some far fetched way linked to “freedom”. It is a global pandemic and we all need to work to squash the waves, protect each other, do the right god damn thing. Getting inoculated seems as obviously right as washing your hands or not coughing on others.

But we have people who will say that no source of information can be trusted, and that they will exercise their “rights” by coughing on others.

And yes - most of the knuckle draggers on on the far right.
I wish I could help these people - it would help us all.
