Man... glad I don't live where you guys live. The only place I wear a mask is at the airport.

As part of the state of emergency Governor Newsom has now ordered the requirement that anyone in the medical field must have a 3rd shot booster.

Nobody outside the large counties are complying with this. I got back home (Lancaster; L.A. County) a few days ago from Kansas. When I went to drop the work truck off in Tehachapi (Kern County), I stopped at the grocery store because they have good quality meat at good prices. The only people wearing masks were the employees.

That may be the official story, but the quiet story is that lots of hospitals outside the large counties are approving exemptions. For nurses AND doctors.

Riverside county sheriff told Newsom to eat a bag of d*cks. He's not complying with any mandates.

but it made it into a great song...I'm Willing:

I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonapah
I've driven every kind of truck that's ever been made
I've even rode the backroads so I wouldn't get weighed
If you give me weed, whites, and wine
Show me a sign, and I'll be willin' to keep on movin' (yeah)

I happen to love Seatrain's version

I drove by Folsom prison. They have Johnny Cash stuff around there.

The Bay Area is in interesting place. Berkeley, the Summer of Love, Haight and Ashbury, the hippie movement…. Now it is the land of 100% compliance. If the government asked us to turn in the Jews we be coughing up names real quick.

Kinda makes you wonder... what is real reason to keep mandating that people keep getting injections?

Don't we have enough evidence that the "vaccine" doesn't really protect you much? If it did why then continual mask mandates and a need for a booster every 6 months or more frequently? Sports events happen every day filled with people elbow to elbow but we don't seem to be having any super spreader, ground zero, apocalyptic, zombie cites popping up.

Remember when they limited the maximum occupancy for places like Walmart to 30% of the normal occupancy limit?
Remember when they had employees at the door counting the number of people coming and going and blocking the door when the store reached the (pull it out of your ass) new 30% of normal occupancy?
Remember the traffic arrow sticker thingies on the floor of the aisles where you couldn't go against the grain without being reprimanded by some do-gooder?
Remember when they forced "non-essential" businesses to close "temporarily" resulting in many small businesses to go belly up?

I do.

The "experts" and politicians seem to not be able to or willing to admit that a majority of the BS that they've been feeding us, and continue to feed us, is just that... BS. Too ego driven, too politically driven, and (probably more than that) to money driven to do anything else than double and tripple down on the same BS.

Shoot, some of the biggest proponents here on C-bid, the "experts" who were 110% in support of all this crap have been AWOL. They were all in and willing to lambast, belittle, and tell others that they were too dumb to understand... how dare the ignorant C-bid folks even question them. Now it's crickets...

That may all be true but I’ll wait for TeeDubbya to chime in.

In unrelated news:

The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus cancelled the rest of their "Home for the Holidays" performances after chorus members tested positive for COVID-19, the organization announced on Wednesday.

^ So when do you guys start singing again?

Bucky, I for one have not disappeared. Though I have tried very hard to remember my opinions are just that, my opinions. Hopefully this has toned down my rhetoric and helped me remember that this is about individual choice. Plus, now with Omicron everything has changed. Again, I want the truth from our government but do not expect to find it.
