that's up from $2.749, or $469.53 from late spring/early summer of 2021

About $3.50 for regular gas in my neck of the woods.

Heating oil is about $3.75. Up about $1.00/gallon from last year at this time.

Glad I don't have to pay for heat (heat and A/C are included in rent). Apartment is set about 70° and I can wander around in boxers if I want. But rent is going up by $25/month which it typical every year.

Is this normal to pay over $300 a month for heating in winter for you peeps back east? I thought my summer bills for electric were high at $250-$300 but I run a pool pump 10 hours every day.

I'm not all the way east but usually a bit under $300 in the winter months. At the old house, built in 1910 w/original single pane windows, we'd pay $500+ a month

87 - $3.599

Good thing Biden is releasing 60 million barrels from the emergency reserve. Problem fixed, prices will be down to $2.00 a gallon by next week.

For the snowflakes that believe that, I'm just kidding about the problem being fixed.

Well, at least it gives American producers to pump/pump more, which will eventually stabilize the price and in turn bring prices back down.

I just saw $4.84 for premium at Fred Myers.

So corporate just switched our logistics system for freight recently we used to use a direct Fed Ex app for shipping. Our small boxes cost around $3-6 to ship those are now $11. When I send a ventilator to our central supply (they just do vents) it used to cost $25-30 to OVERNIGHT ship the 12-13lbs to Illinois from Oregon.

I gave management a heads up this morning it was $217.

They 💩 their pants and decided ground was ok now. I LOLd because nobody tracks this but they micro manage pointless things. Curious if they’re going to have to raise our gas card limits for our diesel truck like they did when the half white guy was in office.

the price at the pump is determined by many domestic and international factors

Like 2 days ago here in the Western region of the Soviet State of New York, I paid $3.48 for regular, that was with my 10 cent discount for using the gas station debit card.
Today I looked on Gas Buddy and the price at the same station is 20 cents higher and there are other gas stations in the area now charging $3.99 and $4.19.

But in this case it is mostly that Biden put a dagger in the U.S. oil/petroleum industry when he first took office.

It's all part of Brando's plan for a GREENER future. So bend over and take it!

Quote:
"President Joe Biden promised to “work like the devil” to address high gasoline prices at the pump. He said that as part of an answer in which he also admitted, “I don’t know why they keep moving and all that.” Thus, the President promises to work hard to fix the problem, but admits to having little understanding of its’ causes."

Can't ya see he's been working extra hard in the last month?

Now that's thinking out of the box.

Posted gas prices would drop about 3.75x overnight if we just simply adopted the metric system like Jimmy Carter wanted us to do.

I don't deny that as one of the factors, but say OPEC (which does not include US, Canada, Russia) decides to significantly increase production, that affects world wide pricing, including here at home. Prices at the pump would drop.

We are not an island in that industry.

And even if that did happen, there are still more factors that collude to set the final price.

I went to Sam's Club yesterday, price on sign was $3.89. About a 3 minute wait, and when

I got to pump the attendant was changing the big sign. I asked him about it, and he said the corporate office had

just raised the prices on the pump over the internet. The new current price was $3.95...the price went up .06 cents while I

was waiting in line...Brick wall
