I’ve found that I really enjoy a Cameroon wrapper. So far Oliva has offered the best for me. Any other suggestions on brands with a good Cameroon?

I really liked the montecristo afrique They don’t make them any more but some sites still have them. I just checked. I like the 50 ring guage and under. I think the robusto is 50 or less. I think they’re very good.

I smoke the cao Cameroon sometimes. Not as good as an oliva G.
Myself personally I think the G stands pretty tall in this one.

The G is the only Oliva

Rocky Patel Decade used to be great but I won't smoke another having been let down by quality decline.

AJ Fernandez New world Cameroon is good but no complexity

Aladino & La Aurora have a little more depth.

The Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short story puts a very nice twist on the Cameroon

I have yet to try the Roma Craft Baka but I suspect it'll be one of the great Cameroons

For me, the Fuente Hemingway Natural and Don Carlos lines are the standard to judge all other Cameroon wrapped cigars. Maybe because the Signature was my first true premium cigar that I smoked and the WOA the second, my palate has "locked in" on that flavor profile. Of course ymmv but others you might wanna try:

CAO L'Anniversaire
Cohiba Red Dot
LFD Cameroon Cabinet
Sam Leccia White
Torano 1916 Cameroon - I don't know if these are available any longer but I enjoyed the Corona

These have a Cameroon binder but might be something to consider as you broaden your horizons:

RoMa Craft CroMagnon
Fratello Oro

Good luck in your search to find more Cameroon wrapped cigars!

I like the La Aurora Preferidos #2 and the aftorementioned New World Cameroon.

With patience (patients?) you can pick up a 5ver of the Preferidos #2 on here for less than $17. Even more patients (patience?), less than $15.

New World is a good BUDGET cigar.

When I want a Cameroon fix it’s Fuente 858, Fuente Hemingway, Don Carlos, Aladino, LFD Cabinet.

One often forgotten cigar that can be had reasonably is the Perdomo cabinet coronas…..if you know where to look you can grab a box of 10 at a good price.

Palama just reminded mr in his post that I smoked a CAO L'Anniversaire last week. It was a box pressed robusto and was nearly ROTT and not a bad smoke.

Well, I find it very disturbing that you would WANT to be behind someone named perchjerker. Laugh

you stand in front of a perchjerker and let me know how it went later...just don't send me the dry cleaning bill

one of the early cigars that interested me in this relaxing hobby was the CAO cammie back when the O family still owned the company. They may have contracted out but those were very good...until they weren't. Tastes change but what drove me away was a flinty mineral taste that turned me off.

Pretty much agree with the Fuente choices at this point in time.

Art Fuente Don Carlos is the best Cameroon I've had...but the Hemingway or Kristoff are great too.

I miss Cameroon and did his thing after his last disappearance for a while. Good to see Ben taking over, but I hope he survives. I got tired of annoying noobs and it's more fun to annoy veterans.

In general, I am part of the Anti-RP crowd for most of their stuff, but the Rocky Patel Vintage '03 Cameroon was always pretty darn good and was great for on the lake or golf course as the darn things would just never go out! Seriously, you could leave them alone for a long-long time and just a puff and they were back.

BUT have not had one recently, so who knows with RP....

Serendipity. I'm smoking an oliva g right now. If you haven't tried one, I'm a fan of the Nub 460 Cameroon.

If I ranked em It'd be :

G serie
Nub 460
Rocky Patel
Red Dot (that I couldn't wait to age and will remedy in a bit)
Finally, New World

All were great and really enjoy.

For the full disclaimer, I don't know a thing about cigars, and this is my first post. Cheers, will be following this thread.
