Ok, rant over. :-)

The CRAZED HATEFUL LEFTIST HARPIES on the view want to BOYCOTT Spotify.

Whoooooopi Goldberg roared, “So apparently Joe Rogan has the most popular podcast on Spotify, and he’s repeatedly spread COVID misinformation and invited guests on to do the same,

Joy Behar screeched, “I’ll tell you what I think. I think Joe Rogan is a horror, a horror,”
"That will be legitimate. It’s not a cancel culture. It’s a consequence culture, and the way we handle it is we don’t buy Spotify. We ignore Spotify,” Behar added.

I think Ted Nugent is a garbage human being. I also think his music about pre1985 or so (Including the Dukes) is some of the best that R&R has to offer. I saw him OPEN for Aerosmith around 81 or 82. Why in God's name they had Terrible Ted open for them is beyond me but he melted the crowds face off for an hour and half. He swung out on the stage on a rope wearing a loincloth and put on one the highest energy shows I've ever seen. You got your money's worth outta Ted back then. Aerosmith came out obviously wasted and was booed off the stage after about half an hour. Terrible. I wouldn't pay a nickel to see Ted now. Not because I disagree with him politically but because I seen him in his prime or close to it. Now his shows are just tired political rambling, a little half-assed guitar playing. and watching him play with bows and arrows. Whooopee!

Dad was drummer for a jazz trio in HS. Did some community center type gig and the group after him had an awesome teenage guitar player from Michigan.

In other words, dad opened for Ted Nugent waaay back in the day.

Feel like I've mentioned this before. Apologies for the repetition if so.

Biden's Surgeon General Vivak Murthy wants to use government power to control misinformation, like censoring Joe Rogan's Podcast. After all, challenging the regime narrative, that is free speech is dangerous to the regimes power over the proles..

You saw the motor city madman in his prime, and he opened for Aerosmith during their worst era.
Was that Night in the Ruts, or Rock in a Hard place (without Perry and Whitman)?
Terrible.

I don't even remember nor really care. Never been a huge Aerosmith fan. I like a few songs (Sick As A Dog) but most of it is just meh to me. All I do remember was how bad they were and how insanely great Ted was. and wondering why the hell anyone would have Ted Nugent open for them. Especially then.

It had to be Rock in a Hard Place

Well, well, well.

Funny how the leftist media crowed about Neil Young being a man of principle and cheering him for leaving Spotify due to Joe Rogan's "misinformation."

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

Neil Young Quietly Crawls Back to Spotify

(John Ransom, Headline USA) Despite widespread reporting that Neil Young has abandoned Spotify over its refusal to censor views that the old Canadian rocker doesn’t agree with, some of Young’s song catalogue remains on the music and podcast platform.

“It appears some of Neil Young’s music has quietly stayed at Spotify, after the rocker announced last month that he was removing his catalog from the streaming platform,” according to Fox News.

Young told his managers last month that he wanted his music removed from the platform, after Spotify star, podcaster Joe Rogan hosted Dr. Robert Malone, a COVID realist, on a podcast episode.

Young accused Rogan and Malone of killing people with COVID misinformation.

Ok. I’ll give you. C- on this one WB. I understand the feel of need to respond to the unprovoked attack. Perhaps a softer counter, making mention you saw the the shot.

Being each of you seem to feel the other is the lowest form of Life walking upright, I’d like for you to both attempt to take and maintain the higher ground. Let the rest of us watch. Everyone will see which one of you is right.

You are nearly on the path. Get on and stay on (please).

Ted came to Baton Rouge around that time, but he was the headliner. I want to say that the Scorpins opened the show followed by Def Leppard. On the other hand, maybe those bands opened for Alice Cooper and a different band opened for Uncle Ted. It’s been a while so I don’t remember. But, like you mentioned Ted swung out onto the stage in a loincloth. For the next hour and a half it was non-stop high energy. Good times.

In the late ‘80’s or early ‘90’s The Smithereens played at a converted movie theater just outside the gates of LSU. Tom Cothrane opened for them. The lead singer of The Smithereens was Patrick DiNizio. He walked out into the audience and played two or three songs chatting with people between songs. Great concert.

Pat ran for a New Jersey Senate seat. He died a few years back.

I saw Uncle Ted around 8 years ago? Great concert.

Plus he ended up paying a fine almost equal to what he was paid for playing past the curfew time of the venue. He really loves old rock n roll.

Worst two performances I’ve seen:
Chuck Berry
John Lee Hooker

I define worst as bad performances not me not liking their music.

Frank you ever listen to interviews of Henry Rollins?

Ted played at Cigarfest in 2013 and despite many people eagerly anticipating it, I believe it was pretty underwhelming.

And probably the worst performance I have ever saw in concert was Ray Charles. We were so excited to see him, but his very long delay and lackluster performance had us leaving early.

Frank, those statues and how people feel about them is fairly straightforward. Mostly if you were raised where the Union was they are traitors. Mostly if you were raised where the confederacy was and are white you see them as heroes.

I doubt the above will ever change to much.

Spey I see those statues as a part of history.

And when we deny bad things happened then odds are they’re more likely to happen again. The statue removal is typical of the generation that needs therapy animals.

...a southern man dont need him around anyhow.

Bout half finished on the old farmhouse. Cleared and burned about 6 completely flat acres. 8 bonfires later and theres still a little more brush to burn, but it's been pushed out of the way to the sides of the flat.

It's cold as fook up in those West Virginia mountains, but were staying warm with the free natural gas heat. First time in my life where I felt like I could just crank the heat. It's an old farmhouse, with no insulation, and I'll be in the house without a shirt on when it's in the teens, or colder, outside. Electric bill was 64 bucks last month. Lol!

STILL havent worn a mask or taken that vax. NOBODY cares about it back in there.

Idk what is going on with the world and I dont really miss it. No internet, no tv...just old movies, books, farm work and nature. It's hard work, really hard, but rewarding.

This place, and you guys, are about the only thing I miss.

See you on the flipside.
