Help me out here. I just don't understand tofu.

Am I supposed to want it more than real meat or is it just a lesser substitute with moral high ground?

I mean, I have eaten it plenty of times (reluctantly) but it has no flavor, no texture, no crispy skin, no delicious rendered fat...

I just don't know how I feel. Tofu kind of breaks the matrix for me.

What's the draw frank?

it's just another thing to eat. not a substitute at least not for me.
Don't like it fried, love it cubed and "fresh" in stir fry dishes on days when meat or chicken would just be too heavy, extra good in Thai dishes like Massaman curry. Soaks up that sauce like a thirsty mofo, whatever that means.
