So this kid was my boss at Wally World. He transferred from our store to be a regional manager for Asset Protection in stores in NC. He was a smart kid, a good manager and a bright future to climb the ladder.

Some may say it's "only" Wally World but, I'd rank him in the top 5 of the managers I've worked with - and I've worked with a lot of bigger names with bigger resumes.

RIP Alex

Thanks,

It kind of shook me. Snuffed out at 27 yrs old.

As I said, the kid was a good person and a good manager. He was half my age but he had the tools and mindset to be a good manager of people - he had great mindset and potential. He knew how to play both sides of the coin in doing the corporate thing and also in balance the people thing that worked under him. He was ex army where I think he learned how to be stern and yet fair. Wet behind the ears but, in my opinion, was a good manager. As I said, I'd put him in top 5 on my managerial draft card.

He was one of the few that I respected at my Wally World circus.

To be that good, that young adds to the sting. Quality Leadership is what we lack.

Bummer, our condolences.

We went to 2 funerals last week so I know what you're going through. One was mid 50's the other 63. 27 is waaaay to young to die.

My Condolences. [-o<

I know exactly where the accident occurred, I've driven through and by that intersection many times. The other driver must have been impaired or asleep.
