Has aphasia

Aphasia is an acquired communication disorder that impairs a person's ability to process language, but does not affect intelligence. Aphasia impairs the ability to speak and understand others, and most people with aphasia experience difficulty reading and writing.

Terrible, don’t wish it on anybody.

“According to Mayo Clinic, aphasia can affect the person's ability to speak, write and understand language, both verbal and written. "It typically occurs suddenly after a stroke or a head injury but can also come on gradually from a slow-growing brain tumor or a disease that causes progressive, permanent damage (degenerative)," Mayo Clinic explains on its website.”

my wife had an internship in a Catholic Rehab/Nursing facility while working toward degree(s) in Speech and Language Pathology a hundred years ago.
Did a lot of work with elderly stroke victims with aphasia. Said it was brutally frustrating for them, searching for words fruitlessly and stuff. Nearly hooked her into pursuing further studies on brain and brain function.

She ended up in her first choice population for her career which was elementary school aged kids after another assigned internship. But she says people do recover from aphasia, and quite often with therapy from a speech terrorist...I mean therapist.

If Bruce does retire he will always be remembered for one of the best Christmas movies ever.

My brain fails me here and there. I'd hate to think if it outright rebelled against me

Prayers for Bruce Willis. I cannot imagine the frustration of not being able to speak. So sad.
The Die Hard series is a classic, but I also remember him from the Moonlighting series on television. Such a great talent.
Too young to lose.

Those first two or 3 seasons were GREAT! Willis was sharp as a tack and the sexual tension between him and Cybil did, indeed, make for some must-watch TV. Iirc, “The Wonder Years” was also just starting out around then too.

In my young and tasteless years, Hudson Hawk was hilarious. I don't care what critics (and audiences) said

I can't think of one Bruce Willis movie I don't like. Heck - I even liked The Last Boy Scout! And don't forget Bruno. Beer
