Pffft... I don't order from here. But... if I did, I bet I'd get the smokes before I get my household goods!

I just got a call from one of the delivery guys. He said looks like Wednesday around noon, but they'll call with a better time tomorrow.

I will believe that when they finally show up with my shit and start offloading.

Hell nah... you take the important things with you. Like passports, cigars, military awards and the shadowbox... and your favorite undies.

Don't be too hard on the guys that actually deliver your stuff. Your beef is with the brokerage - remember that. The guys on the truck are just doing their job - not their fault they work for a $hitshow.

When me moved from NY to Alabama, there were six guys who loaded the truck - and only two guys were sent with truck to offload. Wife and I rolled up our sleeves and helped as best we could. Took all day but we got it done.

Have cold drinks at the ready and don't forget tip money. It sure beats having to do it yourself.

Welcome to your new home......

You did what you could but it seems like they are taking a looooong time to get there. Did they say they were taking another move on the same truck as yours? Bekins did that to me but it only added one extra day to the total trip.

My last move back to Colorado, they even got a flat tire and had to wait 3hrs for a service to come change it for them. They were on the phone every hour apologizing for the delay.

3 of my neighbors have already been over to the house and we don't even have all our furniture yet. My wife and my neighbor Larry's wife (she's Mexican) have already been trading food dishes. Told 'em if they didn't knock it off Larry and I would be 300 lbs real quick.

REminds me of a moving job my buddy got for a 250 mile move. The customer had moved several times and always had problems with the big moving companies. We loaded 2 trucks up and drove to the destination area where we stayed in a cheap motel overnite. The customer had secured a rental unseen and was horrified when he saw it. He found another rental and off we went to unload. His Mrs. spotted a cemetery view from the back of the house and freaked out. For a while we thought we were in for another day of house hunting, but she was convinced that it would be alright. We unloaded, got a nice tip and many thanks and headed home. The next year he got a call to move them again when they bought a house and drove up and moved them again. They were again happy - no breakage, no delays, no overcharges..

Yup... my stuff finally arrived today. The guys were good about putting the stuff where my wife wanted it. Unloaded and unpacked a lot of stuff real quick, didn't try to squeeze any more $$ out of me (matched my receipt to theirs and asked for the balance showed).

Nothing seems to be broken, but our new living room coffee table had scuffs on all 4 corners. Brick wall

Still have to unpack some boxes, but I opened everything. Seems to be all there... Think

Congrats, Macs!

Take a little wood stain on a rag, close to the coffee table color, and I'm assuming stained/varnished. Rub the stain into the scuffed areas and they should largely disappear. One of those little touchup stain markers would work in a similar fashion

I know still frustrating since it's new, but that should help at least

Yessir... did the same to our old table. Home Depot has those pens... I'll match the stain best I can and dab a bit on there and buff it.

It'll buff out... Anxious
