Looking for suggestions of cigars (available) to try - historically I enjoyed the Cohiba Red Dot's but it seems quality has slipped on the last few orders and they either don't draw or are full of stems.

I was gifted 10 various cubans a few years ago and by far the best cigars I've ever had in my life.

I've tried some Oliva and Rocky Patels that I enjoy, but want to expand my cigar palette. Typically pair my cigars with bourbon. Appreciate suggestions, price is not as critical to me if it's a good smoke. I tend to latch on to one brand or type when I like it and want to expand my horizons a bit.

Based on the above...you're a Victor Sinclair man.

Toss in some Gurkha, they're the Rolls Royce of Cigars.

You missed out on the Lone Wolf line, but when Schwarzenegger, Norris and Belushi team up to form a cigar...well...

Aside from the above mentioned best cigar on the world, if you like the cameroon wrapper of the red dot, but want better quality overall, start trying some of the Fuente smokes, Hemingways in particular IMO.

Also, in my Eiroa ho opinion, you'd do well with anything Christian has deigned to lay his hands on. i.e. Eiroa, Asylum, CLE, Wynwood Hills

Hmm, first of all, good job KOTC! ThumpUp

Back on point…

Other than the cigars mentioned above, are there other specific cigars you’ve enjoyed / not enjoyed, that you can tell us about? While you may want to broaden your horizons, suggesting cigars is difficult without knowing a bit about your tastes. As you probably already know, everyone’s palate is different so pointing you to cigars you don’t already like is pointless.

Also, to avoid any disappointment, confusion or embarrassment, if you see "fumas" in the name or description, it's a short filler cigar.

Hehe, just clearing things up...

Yopauly, tell us what you like in a cigar and we can suggest some smokes.

Strong or mild?
Long or short?
Any wrapper or filler you gravitate towards?

Mopauly,

Have a well rested Padron then you'll know what to compare all other Nicaraguans to.

I'll need feedback on the specific Padron so pay attention

Your first Padron is important

Thanks guys, I prefer a medium to dark Robusto - I do have a Padron to try in my humidor. Just received another pack of Red Dots and the first one smoked perfectly last night after dinner with a glass of wine. Will be looking to experiment with what's been posted here.

Pfft!!
Like THAT lame excuse is gonna carry weight around here.
Too busy looking for deals on RPs and Red Dots eh??

Well, after you smoke that Padron (as noted above, we need the line, blend, and vitola),don’t be surprised if your love of RP and Red Dots diminishes.......................considerably......................forever.

MY favorites are Late hour by davidoff and 80th anniversary by Padron.

Brazilia are a great cigar also. The last I got of 40 of them were not a great draw and started breaking up

half way through. In humidor 3 weeks and never had this happen before with tham.

any one else had any issues with them recently

thanks Bitcheseseses

Which size did you get? There's been some recent conjecture that maybe the Lambadas aren't rolled as well as the Gols

If you like Cohiba (domestic) than do yourself a favor and try and Aladino Cameroon.
