I just seasoned 3 ribeyes from Sam's Club and placed them in the Sous Vide. In a couple hours I'll remove them and sear the outside.

Six hour drive home completed in a paltry 8 1\2 hours due to traffic and many many many stops for children to try (and sometimes succeed) to go to the bathroom. I hate coming back from a vacation, but I do love being home...

55 headed to 74 this afternoon.

Probably load the bed of the truck this afternoon for an early morning dump run on Monday. Opens at 6am. Like to be in and out before it gets crazy.

Paying the price for standing on concrete and uneven ground for multiple hours and 15,000 steps.

Graduation party today. Once that is done/mid to later afternoon, we can go back to doing things we want to do.

We've gotten invites in the past week to a cousin's and three friends' kids open houses, one if which we haven't spoken to in 5 years, and a second only the wife knows and they only reconnected 2 months back after a decade if no contact.

I'm down for the cousin and the friends we actually interact with. The other two feels like they're reaching for donations

Tomato season is done here. Thinking of melons but the price is .17/lb now and with much effort I could prolly raise about $5 worth in a few months.

The garden plots at my apt complex were all spoken for so just doing container gardening this year in grow bag thingies. I just put a couple tomato plant in the ground yesterday along with sweet peppers and hot peppers. We should be out of the woods for any danger of frost now. Cucumbers and beans broke ground last week.

I got some watermelon planted for fun. Squash and blueberries are coming in now.

Tomatoes, peppers, and tomatillos are starting to take off now that we’re getting warmer.

Great park. Super crowded though. We will probably drive through a couple of times this summer going to Montana. Head to Wyoming in less than 3 weeks!

Tried to do melons and pumpkins a couple of times a handful of years back before the apartment dwelling but they never really panned out. I only got fruit about 8" in diameter.

Prolly didn't water them enough. Plus the varmints would gnaw at them so I punted. Same with trying to do strawberries. The varmints and birds would eat them before they ripend.

I'm seeing some hybrid container/hanging plant versions of strawberry plants at Wally World and the local Agway (a regional lawn and garden store). Might try one of those.

I think you can cultivate 6 plants/household in MA. I wonder if the building manager would allow that. I haven't seen anything that says I can't.

I got rosemary, thyme, and Genovese basil!

My indoor hydroponic garden has Thai basil and an experiment with a tomato variety called Siberia. Cherry tomatoes do fine indoors but a want something bigger that can set fruit at 70 degrees and year round for the winter months.

I don't think there is anything written in the lease agreement that addresses this particular topic - either for medical or recreational purposes. I don't think they would have much ground to stand on if it came to a court battle since I would think state law would surpass any rental agreement as long as the rental agreement didn't spell it out directly.

If you add in a documented medical reason for growing it, I think the management company would lose that fight too.

It may pass the legal hurdle but it wouldn't pass my ethical hurdle.

I wouldn't grow pot plants outside unless I had property where access to such crops would be limited and not open to the public. It would be irresponsible to grow it in a container just outside my apartment where anyone could access it. Similarly, you wouldn't set up a still to ferment booze or beer in the wide open. It may be legal but not ethical or responsible, in my opinion.
