I took 500 cohiba bands and made a framed American flag that's 3ft x 5ft. I've had it hanging in my bar for a few months and it's become the staple piece of my home. I've had countless friends and family ask me to make them one, I'm thinking I could make these on the side and possibly auction them on CB. What are your thoughts as far as price? Is anyone else besides my inner circle interested?

Hopefully it doesn’t break any CBid rules. Anxious

You haven’t broken any rules…yet.

The Forum Rules and Conditions aren’t exactly explicit regarding auctioning off items but does prohibit selling for commercial gain:

https://www.cigarbid.com...and-conditions/2069128/

So depending on how you word your “auction”, you may be fine.

Plus, the board minotaurs haven’t been monitoring the board like they used to.

Yeah, an "official" auction would not go over well. Selling items on the board is not allowed. Best would be to disguise selling items in some way with some verbiage. Since you are new to the forum I wouldn't expect much of a response.

With that said, I'm still in for a buck fiddy as a starting offer but there is some competition. A buck and a couple quarters can get me a grope of Drafter's boobs or a weekend in a van down by the river.

Auction is a no but trades are allowed. "Trade for candelas" is the the preferred term.

Edited for further clarification.

and technically that's a phrase not a term... like "Bucky, you're a d!ck"

Yeh, I should have made that clear since I believe I'm the guy that 1st used the phrase about 19 years ago.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, when I first saw that used in the form of a trade I didn't sink in for a while.

Where's the fun in that? I often run my mouth without thinking. It's kind of an unwritten rule here.

You could do an introduction in the General Discussion section to kinda shimmy your way into the community.

Of course there'd be some insightful questions asked after that but nothing to be skeered of.

Or not.

Hahahah I like the way you think sir!! I'm sure by the time I get comfortable on this forum, I'll spew some nonsense once the evening bourbons get flowing.

I'm guessing you'll fit in well.
