If I remember correctly, he moved back to TX for while then decided he liked living on the atoll better so he moved back.

Morning folks. Supposed to rain fon adn of for the next 36-48 due to the tropical storm in the gulf.

Made my son get up on the roof to clean out where the gutters were compacted with leaves. Been needing to do it for a coulpe years or so.

Just squeegeed a big sliding door and two small windows for my wife. Came out perfect!

Just waiting to get laid this morning before accompanying my wife to the pool or her swim work-out.

After that, the UFC fights start at 1pm EST and I will be watching them and hopefully jumping on to the vherf.

Hope everyone has a good, relaxing weekend!

So, my wife belongs to this club that does a lottery for Broadway tickets that haven't sold. Last night she scored 2 tickets,3rd row center from the stage for Moulin Rouge. $40 at ticket. She just left to jump on the train. All morning she's been dancing around singing. She threw $20 at me and my son, said enjoy your pizza, laughed, and walked out the door. She actually WooHoo'd as she got in the car.

The tickets start at $100 and go crazy from there. Her tickets are $270 each normally.

Hope my son enjoys PB&J tonight because that $20 is getting me my first beer and double bourbon! My turn to WooHoo!

Up early for a hike and then to a farmer’s market in town for tamales. Going to a winery this afternoon for live music and a few sips.

Roof, gutters and driveway all cleaned. Lawn mowed, Costco run, lunch, a cigar and bourbon.
Clouds rolling in and getting breezy.
A free rap concert outside of Lambeau Field tonight.

If I open up the East window in the cigar room, I should be able to hear the gunshots.

Take cover, brother 8.

Only one visitor today while we were out. Sposta be 9-5, but we ran out of stuff to do and came home at 3.

Tank ran around like a mad man at the Fiesta Island Dog park in Mission Bay. It has a beach... d'oh!

A guy threw a ball into the water for his dog and Tank went and got it. Then rolled in the sand. Brick wall

Back seat of my truck looked like a sand trap. Sooooo... it got vacuumed, and then Tank Cousteau went to the bathtubs at Petco and got a good bath. Also flushed his ears with some goop the vet gave me because I know damn well salt water got in there.

Ballgame was purty good. Nephew's team win 6-4, and he had a standup double. I think he could've taken third, but the wife says I need to relax. They're learning apparently

That's cool. What year is he in? What is he studying?

(My son leaves for three years in Miami later this summer, highly likely to never return. He and I were just talkng how much we'd miss being together as father/son and friends. We spend a lot of time together now. We'll look forward to seeing him whenever we can.)

Lazy, lazy day. 81F with off and on showers for the next 36 hours.

Wife and I didn't wake up until after 11am, then laid around in bed for a while before getting up for the day. Ended up jumping in the pool while she swam laps, but no exercise for me until my ribs and chest are healed.

Scheduled for elbow surgery Friday ram27bat to correct the numbness in my pinkie and ring-finger. If it works, I am not a mandatory candidate for more neck surgery. Pray

Anyhow, hope you are all doing well and relaxing this evening.

Anyone going to watch the NBA Finals?

He just completed his sophomore year. Finance major, going to minor in Economics.
He’s going after the Econ because he finds it fun. Fun. He’s an odd duck.

Exactly the same as my son! He's a data/analysis machine as a result of his education. He can do finance numbers and formulas in his head (finance)- while also being able to analyze monetary and non-non-monetary trade-offs (economics). All from his education.

Get your kid a respectable MBA and he will be in very, very high demand, if he won't already be just with his undergrad degree. My kid has an amazing finance management job right now (24 years old- only finance person) for a huge, 150 employee, business that grosses and spends like almost $20 million per year.

My son's best friend who did a 4-year finance degree at FSU with him works for IBM in Manhattan, and has been given raises to $120k after just two years out of undergrad.

Their key was belonging to the business fraternities and business school associations, attending speakers outside of class (to see if the industry is attractive- and sometimes to ask for a job, and going well prepared (and properly dressed) to every single recruiting event.

What school is he at?

Made it home from Michigan without a tow truck.

Washed the truck, mowed the lawn and was asleep before the sun went down.

Gonna try to get back to work on the patio. My whole body hurts from Gridlife festival buildout/teardown dunno how much I'll be able to do.

What's up?
Got a doc appointment for my ribs today. I'd say I am 80-85% improved, but still using the Rx lidocaine patches on my chest and ribs most of the time. Some errands to run too and a podcast at 11am.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Monday Morning! It's 74° on the way to 90° today. It's great to be back home after a week of visiting Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore, with stops in Deadwood, SD, Sturgis, SD, Cody, WY, we stayed at the Irma Hotel and the Big Horn Mountains.

Flying has not gotten any better.

The start of the trip was one big rushing cluster. Our flight started in Augusta, GA, flying to Atlanta, and then Salt Lake. We never flew out of Augusta. Three broke-ass planes caused us to miss our connection in Atlanta, and the second rescheduled connection to DC, then to Slat Lake.

The closest was got was getting on a plane, taxing around, and returning to the terminal with error codes that could not be fixed on the spot. Mechanics to fix the other planes with bad brakes were dispatched by car from Atlanta! There are plenty of high-end aircraft maintenance people in the area that maintain the Master Club member's jets, but Delta had to cheap out and not even fly them from Atlanta. That said, all the Delta personnel we came in contact with were very good and tried their best to get us to our destination.

There was a flight from Charlotte, NC, but it was 2.5+ hours away so a 90+ mph Bonzi run to Charlotte to catch a direct flight to Salt Lake. Our Chevy Traverse hauling six of us plus luggage did good getting us there, but I had to use valet parking at $35/day to barely make the flight in time. My wife was watching the Waze app for the popo. At one point she told me I was going over 90 mph, I just replied, "Do you want to make the flight or not?" From Salt Lake airport it was a 7 hour bus ride to Jackson, WY. We got to bed at 0430.

The rest of the trip was fantastic.

Monday morning peeps. Up and out early to beat the sun. Phone says I did 5.8 miles in 76 minutes but I don't trust it. Back home by 6:40 and pool maintenance completed. Now on to the gym and a stop at my shpo before lunch.
I see floating in the pool in my future.

Don't talk to me about pool maintenance. I am still not fully opened up for the summer due to my ribs. Pool looks like chit a couple few corners and I need go change out the filter and clean the salt/chlorine generator for the season. Just don't want to have to pay someone to do it, but just might have to this year...

Looks like to pool at my apt complex is open. Cover is off and the water is clear, all the deck chairs and tables and stuff are out. Haven't seen anyone in it yet. They were having a tough time finding lifeguards. The local schools are out for the summer or will be out this coming week so maybe they found some kids to fill the positions.

He probably has a nice water park too, complete with a slip & slide and a few sprinklers. That's what I ran with in my backyard when the kids were toddlers. Squirt some dish soap, body soap, or kids bath soap on the slip and slide to get some nice slippery slides.

It's fun and you get a bath at the same time.

Be sure to clean up the dog turds in the back yard before deploying the slip and slide though.
