Ugh, hopefully it works out well. Once it's done and healed I suspect a lot of physical therapy will be part of the prescription.

My town is full of old farts.

While working at the circus (Walmart) I see and have met handful of old folks that come in and do physical therapy there. I thought it was kinda odd that the same old geezers would come in every couple of days and not buy anything. Then I learned, with talking with them, that they use it for physical therapy... lean on a shopping cart and do laps around the store to work out the knee or hip replacement and stuff.

If you need a cart to walk around Wally World, come on up. Just mention my name and any seltzer water is on me (unless you want key lime seltzer water... I think Walmart banned it after teedub kept stealing it).

Good luck on the new body part today. If it helps any, my knee ortho told me that the hip is the easist with the knee next and then the shoulder,

You will be up and about in no time.

And the word is that you could kick Z's ass even with the bad hip.

Thanks gentleman.......and the old goat, you know who you are.

If I haven't checked back in by Wednesday I know where you can get a few good bottles of bourbon and maybe 5-700 cigars with minimal labor..............IIRC I believe her exact words were " if you don't come home I'm tossing that schit out".Maybe this is more in Jonesy's department

LOL

Hope everything goes well. Have them check out your tie rod guards while they are in there.

I find modern medicine amazing with how they can replace parts of the human body like that considering that the human body is the most sophisticated and complex machine on earth.

Go in, rip out the old joint, put in a new one and get you back on your feet in a few of weeks.

All the advances they have made in our life time is mind blowing.

We'll need pictures. I know a guy that had a new hip put in a coupla years ago. Me and another Buddy stopped by his place the day after to take him some grub and check on him and he answered the door like nothing had happened. He was FINE. It was incredible.

Hip replacement has become so common as to be routine surgery. Save your worries and put the effort into the rehab that will be required.

BTW - That boat sound pretty sweet and a great incentive to heal up and get out on the water.

Might as well get the Frankie Tripod insert as long as they are in the vicinity anyway.

Ron, when you finish getting those new man-made replacement parts installed is over, you can then say you are transhuman.

His damn kayak probably cost more than Whistles damn boat…

Y’all notice how much Whistlebritches DOESN’T want my yard gars from the blind review? He’ll do anything to not have to smoke them.

Got word from Whistlebritches his surgery went well, no confirmation if paying off the surgeon for an extra “newlywed knot” worked. And his night nurse Tyrone checked in with him and offered him a massage and a sponge bath.

it just so happens that I pm'd Ron a few days ago and he accepted my offer of some tripod starter cells in a petrie dish.
They will grow quickly, I assure you all.

Once he signs up for RomneyCare, the procedure will be covered.

Could've walked out the hospital but they won't let ya............got home threw the borrowed walker in the closet.Doorbell rang and the guy I paid to take care of the lawn the next few weeks is standing there needing a key to the back gate. While I walked to the back gate key in hand my loving wife is chewing my ass because I'm in the yard,no walker and over doing it.This after I told the surgeon, his NP and my wife my hip feels better after surgery than it did when I hobbled through those hospital doors.

Thanks for all the kind words and remember Bucky said it best........."MODERN MEDICINE IS AMAZING"

So I guess raiding your cigars stash is a no go now?

I think he was faking it all along... some old fart with bones that are nearly ashes to ashes, dust to dust is up and walking within a couple days?

Tossing out the "Government conspiracy" flag on this one.

Modern day Steve Austin (but Lee Majors is much more handsome than you... maybe you could be a stunt double if they ever to a redo of the 6 Million Dollar Man)

my sentiments exactly...you need an upgrade from that little button...

Glad your hip replacement went well, Ron... pretty sure your neighbors will appreciate the silence when you pump those hips at night.

I'm still not gonna let you catch me tho, even if the doc told me I shouldn't run with my knee replacement...
