From early 2016.
For a couple years, Cbid had them on FF for cheap......was in fact one of the better deals for a decent smoke back then.

V-cut, perfect draw, perfect burn, tons of smoke, very smooth creamy smoke.
Bitter chocolate and black coffee notes, some charred wood and occasional spice.
Strength up there for last third.

I haven’t been real pleased with recent Garcia stuff other than a few blends, my ire is directly at the old blends being garbage compared to what they used to be. Weird that Tats have remained so consistent.

I’ve always been curious about the business arrangement between Pete and the Garcias. How much do the Garcias charge Pete for rolling his cigars? Does Pete have access to any and all tobacco grown by them? If Pete identifies a particular crop, can he call DIBS! on them? Many other questions but those for starters.

Yah, they had a pretty ridiculous sale a few days ago. In a time when I’mma trying to smoke more than I buy, I bought w-a-y too much!

Well seeing how involved Pete is with the industry and customers…..

And he’s married to DP’s daughter…I really think it’s more of Pete staying in touch with his product out of passion. Seems like DPG is happy to be doing whatever TF he’s doing.

the best of the Jaime Garcia line was the Hawaiian Exclusive in a "lancero" (really a panatela - 6x46) vitola. My good friend Palama offered to grab a box for me before they disappeared years ago. Don't remember how much the box cost, but worth every penny....long gone...sigh...

From then on, if Palama said something positive about a cigar, that would cause my CAD to act up...couple days ago, he mentioned the offer at the tenski place and I kinda responded with a shrug, claiming I blew though my cigar budget for the year...only liked a couple SD lines...yada...yada...yada.........................................................................order will be delivered next week...sigh

The blend of the “Lancero” was tweaked for the Hawaii market and in my limited time smoking cigars, gotta agree, it was THE BEST JG blend, EVER. Iirc, with the box discount, it was around $8 per.

Speaking of the tenski place, I’mma squeezing okole that I’m home when the mailperson delivers my order. It won’t be no small box!

I forget, you have the 2013 OR or the 2016 re-release? Both are great smokes.

I believe the 2016. Pretty sure it was a re-launch and you snagged me a box.

Now that I think about it, it mighta been the OR. I vaguely remember calling a store that still had one more box and asked them to put it on hold. When I picked it up, they said someone had walked in earlier and asked for the same thing. We / you totally lucked out!

Edit: Chances jumped up to 98.2%! I searched my spreadsheet and it confirmed the one detail that was floating around in the back of my mind. When I got your cigars, it was the Friday after Thanksgiving and lo and behold, there is an entry where I bought 8 singles of the OR Lancero on 11/29/13 from Tamura's Aiea so with your box, we wiped them out completely! Could, of course, still be wrong so maybe if you check the bottom of the box, it should have a stamped date that will surely end any doubts.
